I'm at the airport right now about to fly out. Chip from Granger is picking me and my girlfriend up in the morning.

I'm driving back to Miami through Kansas City (for some bbq), St Louis (to see the arch), Nashville (more bbq), St Augustine (drive on the beach).

Any recommendations along the way for food or sights?

Any recommendations for the drive in general, related to the truck or otherwise?

I think @Yeti said something about an ass-puckering bridge just outside of Nashville.

Following this thread to get some ideas for my journey as well.

Please post pictures along the way!

For good BBQ, you’ll have to go through Texas…🤷🏻‍♂️

Old Hickory BBQ in Owensboro KY is great and it's a neat little town.

Awesome! Man that trip sounds like a lot of fun.
I know nothing about KC or STL but eat some BBQ for me and enjoy the truck!

Best bbq in Nashville is peg leg porker. It’s a little ways from downtown but not far. Out-freakin-standing
Appreciate it! Will check it out.

Delivered ~2 weeks ago, ordered end of October.

Nice! Didn't know anyone else from 305 was on here. Grew up in Kendall, live now in Cutler Bay. Because of work I've been all around South FL. Let's meet up sometime!

Hey if you are going to visit the smokey mountains on your way through and you want to play a little you could stop off at windrock off-road park outside Knoxville. Just get a map and stick to the green trails at first even though they are rated easy they can be a bit difficult at times. Also if you want a decent dinner and show hit the Hatfield and McCoy feud dinner show in pigeon forge TN, just call in advance to get tickets.

Some options at windrock, I would avoid the harder ones.

dangit, I almost forgot about Metropolis, Il. I mean, who doesn't want to hang with super man.. and it's an easy route to include butt clincher.

NC here, that's not BBQ
I was going to say the same thing. For GOOD bbq you need to hit eastern NC.

BBQ is not a verb. No such thing as barbecuing a steak or having barbecue where you cook burgers and hotdogs. Using it that way always drove me nuts.

Fight me!

I was born in Greenville so I've got vinegar in my blood.

I have never been this cold in my life.
I picked mine up in the beginning of December. it was 15 degrees and about 40 knot winds. I've no concept of what it's like, now.
