The 2021 Ford F150 Tremor will come with 18x8 wheels mounted with a General Grabber AT 275/70/R18

What do you think of the stock F150 Tremor wheels and tires? Do you plan on keeping them?

I want to switch to 17s and run 315/70R17 tires. I really like the the tire choices and performance at that size. I can't figure out why Ford went with 18s on a truck targeting the off-road community. Seems like the 18 tire selection and weight of the tires isn't that great. I'd like to get the Enkei RPT1s with D rated 315/70R17 Duratracs but worried the 12mm offset will be too much and also wonder what lift/leveling kit will be required.

Anyone know the OEM offset yet?

I'm good with the 18s (currently running STT pro 305/70r18) but will definitely be looking for a way to cram 35" up in there. I think it's going to need an additional inch all around but as much as the rear moves, that may be a custom wheel and/or a skinny tire. The stock wheels will be my towing set.

My next set of tires would have been General Grabber's I'm fine with the choice.

I have a buddy that runs those tires and he swears by them. It's his favorite tire!

I think this would look ok.
2" lift, 35s, stock wheels.
With a leveling kit, it should sit exactly as high as the Raptor. They have the same cab height in the specs.

I'll be trying the Grabbers out in my back yard before buying my 35s. My STT Pros have been fantastic but I'm not opposed to another set.
I was going to try the RubiTreks https://www.falkentire.com/tires/light-truck-suv-cuv-tires/rubitrek/t-tire
My concern with the Grabbers (SL rated) that come with the Tremor is they are probably good for streets and dirt roads but not much else. I saw they do have some E rated Grabbers so if they survive my back yard, I'll get those in 35.

lol, except more RAKE. I'm going to try to get out to a dealership that has a couple, Friday. I weigh about as much as your RSI+ some gear and will see how me over the axle changes it.

BTW, this is a calculator I use to double check my maths..
it's the only one I found that has scrub radius included.

It looks fantastic with 35's. The Tremor I built came in at 69,000 before any mods. The Raptor 35 I built comes in at 77,738. I really like the idea of not having to do any mods besides the winch mod. I glad I still have time to decide.

I thought that at first when I got my Gen 2 Raptor....and then I realized it needed new springs anyway. The stock springs really aren't that great. And if you are wanting to tow with the Gen3 and the new 5-link suspension, you'd better plan on changing something.

It'll be interesting to see if Ford ever switches to (5) link rears across the board. maybe they will take that time to change the shock position, too. Don't get me wrong, I think the same technology as "The Great Westward Expansion" and being able to balance your wagon truck on a shock end is great and all but maybe some 21st technology would be ok, too.

I keep looking at this picture and just realized why.. wheel wells built for wheel travel. Maybe Ford goofed on the Tremor thing. Starting with a Raptor base, put the normal motor, less body bling and springs/shocks for the additional 3K pounds of towing and you have an amazing truck.

The Tremor also has about 5" less travel and the Raptor fenders are wider for the additional axle width (6" wider). I think with the right offset, 35's will tuck on the Tremor. You could also scrap the traditional 12.5" wide 35's and go with an 11.5" instead to narrow it.

The old leaf vs coil argument. I think they will eventually, but they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I think the closer I go to max towing weight, the more I lean towards traditional leafs for side to side stability. Coils will have a smoother overall ride for sure though.

I'm still so conflicted on my next move. I don't tow but you never know what the future holds. I really want a winch. The Power wagon is a cheaper option but it comes with a factory winch. IMO the Raptor and the Tremor look better than the power wagon. The Power wagon is much larger to drive around as a daily driver. The tremor with the 3:73's would be best choice on fuel. I would think when things settle down I could get more off the sticker with the Tremor too than the Raptor. I guess all in all its a good problem to have deciding.

Agreed. I think 12.5s are probably doable with the right config but for me, it's definitely 35 first then 12.5 second. a good 305/70r18 may be the best of both worlds. ~35" and 12" width.

If you don't tow, width isn't an issue and payload is acceptable, then my choice would be the Raptor without question.

For the cost of a winch vs the amount I would personally use it, I just carry a come-along instead. For a winch on the Raptor you also need to relocate the intercooler and given that the Tremor is also twin-turbo, it will most likely need it as well. The F250 was out for me right away given the bed length and wheelbase, so without looking up the PowerWagon, I'm assuming it's also a longer truck. As for driving the Raptor around town, you get used to the width, but there are certainly trails in my area that I can't take the Raptor. I don't really care too much about getting an extra MPG or two, but worried I will miss the feel of the 4.10 gears. Some of the HP loss could be gained back with a tune.

With Ram having gone to coils over a decade ago and Toyota going there now I can't see Ford's justification for staying in leaf set up. With the Raptor going there they obviously have some RD into it. It's not if but when in my mind.

I've seen that the Tremor has 1" more travel in front and 1.5" more in rear but not seen how much higher it sits. I've only found that fitting 35s on a non Raptor F150 requires a minimum 4" lift or a saw. I'd love to have 35s and the concept of 33s as tow tires and 35s for play is fantastic. It sounds like Yeti will bestow the information and knowledge and I'll just follow along.
