So apparently if you buy the optional $500 aftermarket bed camera from ford parts, it still does not give you the ability to view the contents of the bed while you are actually driving the car, which to me totally defeats the purpose.

I’m kind of frustrated. I just traded in a third generation tundra, which was a giant pile of crap, but I really liked the bed camera feature. I coach girls softball and I’m constantly carrying truck loads of gear. Too many times to count I’ve been barrelling down the road and wondered if I grabbed that bucket of balls, or that net, or that tee, etc. On the tundra, it was as simple as pressing a button and it gave me a full screen view of the bed.

When I bought this tremor, of course the salesman assured me I could do just that if I bought the optional camera. But now, as I’m preparing to do so and talking to the install technician, he says that the bed camera can only be activated while the car is stopped. Can anyone please confirm?

I am not sure if this is apples and oranges here but my 22 has a bed cam (bought used was originally sold with it). I can and do run with it on all the time. No problems

I know this isn't helpful but your information is surprising... Every other camera can be used while driving, and it stays on. One of my favorite features coming from the wranglers is that the camera stays on no matter which mode I'm looking at. It seems crazy to me that there happens to be just 1 view you can't see while in motion, or only for a short period of time.

Aftermarket but be the move? You could probably configure it to an Aux switch, I'm really not sure just thinking outloud.

2022 - I can run mine full time in both full screen or in the smaller side panel portion.

Well, in the stock configuration you can’t run the front view camera either above 3-5mph. It shuts off.

Man, lots of conflicting information and I cannot get a conclusive answer. Can anyone with a 2025 and 402a specifically confirm how the bed camera works? I don’t care if it’s an aftermarket camera or Ford OEM. Is there a way you can get a camera view of the bed while underway and driving?

2024 and up F150s, Ford “locked” the software so you may need the dealership to get it setup for you.

I’ve noticed many things that work with Forscan changes on 21-23 models does not work on my 2024
