So apparently if you buy the optional $500 aftermarket bed camera from ford parts, it still does not give you the ability to view the contents of the bed while you are actually driving the car, which to me totally defeats the purpose.
I’m kind of frustrated. I just traded in a third generation tundra, which was a giant pile of crap, but I really liked the bed camera feature. I coach girls softball and I’m constantly carrying truck loads of gear. Too many times to count I’ve been barrelling down the road and wondered if I grabbed that bucket of balls, or that net, or that tee, etc. On the tundra, it was as simple as pressing a button and it gave me a full screen view of the bed.
When I bought this tremor, of course the salesman assured me I could do just that if I bought the optional camera. But now, as I’m preparing to do so and talking to the install technician, he says that the bed camera can only be activated while the car is stopped. Can anyone please confirm?
