Good evening everyone! I just wanted to give some feedback on towing with the new Tremor. I have a 21 Cruiser MPG Toy Hauler TT that comes in around 6,200 lbs. dry weight and a 830 lb. hitch weight. Dimensions are approx. 8’ wide by 32’ long. By the time our gear is added, you’re looking at approx. 6,500 lbs. (without side-by-side) and closer to 7,500 lbs. with the side-by-side. I just came back from a short trip, 200 miles round trip total, and here are my 2 cents. Please feel free to chime in with any info or questions. A weight distribution hitch and sway bars were used. Due to the heavy hitch weight, I was able to get the truck and trailer level by raising the hitch ball on the weight distribution hitch. This is because of the truck’s rear rake and, when the trailer is hooked up, the truck squats down making the trailer and truck level. I’m really not trying to sound like I’m 4 cans shy of a 6 pack here, but man. This thing towed like a freakin dream. The power was there (tow haul mode of course) and brakes/stopping power was perfect (trailer brake controller set to 9). The stability, control, and overall experience was exceptional. The only thing that kind of sucks is the mirrors, since the TT is 8’ wide. The ride with the trailer over choppy, uneven surfaces was fine. The suspension didn’t even sneeze with this load. I’m not exaggerating when I say how impressed I was with this towing experience. With that being said, I have no regrets not buying an HD truck since we only take this thing out 3-4 times a year. Y’all take care and Merry Christmas!
