24+ Factory Replacement Fog Kits

I have about wrapped up my 24+ f150 factory replacement fog kit. Since the bumper bracket was born here I figured I’d post here first and see what yall think! This is also gauging interest on my end.

These simple brackets bolt right in place of the factory lamps, the first version of the kit utilizes diode dynamics SSC2 2.0 pods. A Baja designs S2 version will follow. Let me know what yall think! Impressive to see Ford using a full aluminum shroud on OE equipment. That's surprising.

Nice job! have you considered using (2) SAE C1 pods? does the C2 compete with the corresponding power level of 2 C1's?

SSC2 2.0s have more intensity at 10m than 2 SSC1 pro wide.

for those of you wanting the Baja Designs lights, here's some comparison info to consider:

Diode dynamics C2 2.0 Pods: SAE Fog Beam configuration
Diode has 3 power levels offered in the C2 2.0's. Sport($220/pair), Pro($340/pair), and Max($480/pair)

Baja Designs: S2 SAE($280/pair)
1210 Lumens/5712 Candela

So the lowest power Diode Dynamics option has almost twice the Candela rating of the BD SAE.

Both brands have lifetime warranty.

Diode Dynamics also has the amber Backlight feature that the Baja Designs does not. maybe you don't care for that but its added value.

the DD C2 Pros are on par with a 3" pod both from DD and BD.

I personally find the Diode Dynamics lights to be a better bang for buck option. especially now that they come with a lifetime warranty.

This is what I was trying to alude to earlier in the thread. People just love BD! If I had already started with one brand I would want everything to match.

As someone who knows nothing about aftermarket lighting but hates the factory fogs, I’m interested! Really looking for something with more output and yellow for rainy and snowy conditions. Was really surprised I couldn’t find any kit out there to swap the factory fogs. Awesome to see you putting something together.

As long as you have this factory lamp it is compatible. This is in both the normal and modular bumpers.
