Picked up a 2025 Space White - 401A trim w/ Coyote V8 back in early November. We've been driving the heck out of it all over Western Washington. It's seen pavement, snow, dirt, mud, and has been in 4 Low with the rear locker engaged multiple times. We took it out to Olympic National Forest on the 4th day of ownership lol. I've owned many 4x4s, from Full Size Broncos, to XJ Cherokees, to Land Rovers, and Land Cruisers. This is my first ever dedicated pickup truck though! We still own a well-built out 2004 GX470.

I've got some mods planned for the truck, starting with the upfitter wiring harness and some ditch lights. Tackling that this weekend. Only mods so far are the Built right rear seat release lever, F150 LEDS rear license plate bulbs, and a Rough Country tri-fold cover on the bed.
I'd love to swap out the suspension in the next year to get this thing leveled, and get a little more off road articulation.

Happy to be here, and have enjoyed lurking the tech and build threads here.

Nice to see another 401a Tremor. Everyone seems to have a 402a around here.
I would have loved the torsen diff, raptor knuckles, etc.. but I do not want a sunroof in the PNW, and I much much prefer the cloth seats. Plus, it was like $11k cheaper

I hear ya. Everyone has their own personal preferences. Did you see what they are doing for 2026 models? Apparently there is now a 402b option….only $4000 extra. Comes with the Torsen front end.

I’m not sure if they’re the same on the 2024 but I do like the dash graphics on the 2025 compared to the 2023.

I agree. It started on the 2024. I’ve looked into it a bit but there’s some architecture differences that create some issues with swapping over. Firstly the cluster and module are separate units now and the interface with the SCCM is different so you lose steering wheel control of it. I think it can be remedied but for now it’s a dust collecting idea. Another thing that basically never gets talked about is that the 2024+ has Rock Crawl View where you can see the front tires in off road modes. I did try to do some ForScan settings to enable it but I’m either missing a step, a calibration, or something else because it won’t work for me. 2023+ Super Duties have it and it’s been a feature in the Bronco since 2021 so it isn’t a hardware limitation I don’t think.

The steering knuckles are probably not the same ones from the Raptor. The Tremor does get different knuckles and upper control arms that the regular F-150's do not get. All Tremors do. Even the 401a's. From an off roading perspective, what you didn't get was the Hi-Loc transfer case (ours is still mechanically locking) but lacks the torque on demand based 4A feature. You also didn't get the Torsen. Though older 402a's didn't necessarily get it either. But in the 24+ trucks they do.

Also, you do not have to get the twin panel moon roof with the 402a package. I know a lot of the trucks on dealer lots have it, but its optional. As for 402b, that's got the modular bumper, leather seats, Torsen and 4A feature.

Modular bumper is 402a only

Yes, but it has the leather seats!

Honestly I'm completely happy with the 401A. We didn't get a terribly great deal on it, but it was really hard to find the exact spec I wanted in Washington state, so we took what we could get. Taxes in WA are insane, and I opted for the ESP and Maintenance plan as well. I have grown tired of spending my weekends fixing old Toyotas, so I went with the nuclear option lol.

Probably could have gotten this truck for significantly cheaper back home in TN, but I'd eat those savings getting it back up to WA.

I'm pretty happy with mine. I'd really like power folding mirrors as 401a doesn't have them and I have to fold them to pull into the garage. So that sucks. I'd also like to have the bed step, which isn't specifically a 401a thing in that you can option them with a tailgate step if you get the bed utility package. So its more that I wish I had the bed utility package. My truck was literally the only 401a on the lot. One of the main reasons I bought it is that I wanted a Tremor and it was the cheapest one I'd ever seen new.

The Torsen I can always add if I feel I need it at some point. The mirrors I can't as far as I know. There are solutions to do so on XL/STX trucks but once you have the 360 camera setup you have no options to add power folding mirrors. The modular bumper is cool and I sometimes wish I had it, but there are some pretty awesome aftermarket options there. I may go with one of those at some point.

Things like leather seats and even the incandescent tail lights don't really bother me all that much. Not enough to justify the cost increase. I think I actually prefer the look of the cloth seats in these trucks but I'm indifferent between them as far as comfort or leather versus cloth goes. It's also not as if the "leather" Ford uses is a premium material. ActiveX is vinyl or something like that and just doesn't quite feel the same as the genuine article. So I don't feel those are worth the upcharge personally.

I don't care that much about audio, so the B&O base system is fine for me. Now don't get me wrong, if I wasn't so fiscally minded about the whole thing or had a massive amount of extra cash I wouldn't mind ordering a Tremor with everything (except the twin panel moon roof) and throwing a supercharger on the V8. I just didn't feel like what I was getting for the extra $12,000 was worth it.

Now, if I had waited until the 2026's hit dealer lots I'd have gone 402b all day.
