2W Generator is so loud now

I’ve had the truck a little over 2 months and in the beginning the 2W generator didn’t make a noise. Now its super loud. Has anyone had ford replace the fan to make it quieter? Or any solutions? Thanks

I believe the Raptors have a TSB for it to change the fan. I'd imagine it would cover all 14th gen F150s with the generator.

I can confirm the software update shuts it up. You get a little fan noise when you first start the truck then it immediately spools down and stays nice and quite.

I updated mine myself using FDRS (same thing the dealership will use). The changes maybe more than just as-built so I do not know that forscan alone will do the trick. If you want to try forscan first: here are the changes to as-built the update makes. Blue is before and Green is after. DCACA module.

So talked to the dealership and they seem confused even with me showing them the info you sent. And its getting louder.

@JordanB7 There is a TSB for it. It is a quick software update.

Tell the dealer to look up:

@Robb1 awesome. I just contacted the dealer and they said yep that helps and booked me in for Wednesday. Thank you. I will keep you posted on progress
