It's cold here in Michigan and I don't have access to my truck, she's getting paint corrected and ceramic coated this week. Has anyone made a simple 2x4 frame to run the length and width of the bed to partition it? I'm looking to add a simple solution to mounting snow board rack and bicycle mounts that can easily be removed when not needed. I remember back in the day there were little slots to mount boards into, I just don't recall seeing anything like that in the newer trucks. I eventually will be adding a hard tonneau cover and crossbars hopefully, as long as I can find something I actually like. Thanks guys!

The aft drivers side slot is missing due to the pro power, the rest are there from what I can tell. I’m in the planning stages for a forward mounted 2x4 MTB rack similar to the pipeline rack. If I eventually put the saw to wood I’ll post a pic but it’s cold and blood is thin so don’t hold your breath!

I'm looking to mount my wheel off mounts to the 2x2 and build slots to hold the wheels. I'll also be mounting the snow board racks down the middle so as to make it a one rack does all sort of deal. But like you said, it's too damn cold out there right now. I want to make something a little more permanent down the road but for now this is all I need.

I bolted a wheel off mount for my road bike to the top of a 30mm ammo can I keep my recover gear in. It’s cargo strapped to the front of the bed and works great. For the MTB I’m trying to keep the wheel on because I’m lazy and through axles and disk brakes are more work than the QR on the roadie. Won’t solve the snowboard issue though.

i've got all kinds of ammo cans, I should try that out. My road bike stays on the trainer these days, gravel and mountain bikes are thru axle so easy on and off lol. I'm definitely going to dig through my cans though, don't know why I never thought of that, you sir are a genius. The other way I transport bikes is roof top on my Focus, not fun.
