Has anyone else ran into a problem with their serpentine belt making squealing during acceleration? The shop has replaced the pulley, tensioner, and belt and the sound still persists. Truck only has 1,100 miles on it…

Can you reproduce it while parked and revving it? Can you get a video of it?

Out of curiosity, you said that the truck only has 1100 miles on it so it’s still under warranty correct?

Are you also saying that you didn’t take it to the Ford dealership for the current repairs listed and you used an outside shop?

If this is the case, why?

Just curious.

The dealership has done all the work and is still trying to figure out the problem.

Hello TrevorTremor I just wanted to say that serpentine belts are directional and need to be installed were you can read the writing on the belt from looking at front of engine or the belt will start making noise and walking off pulleys. Also belt may be a couple of mm’s to long, well that is my 2 cents.

I have ran into a problem with shocks (on a fire truck) being wrong from factory and braking off mounts by being to long, so I had to talk with engineers and tell them what measurements on had and help them with finding the correct shock to put on fire truck. Maybe that is what is needed to be done at the dealership?

I dropped the truck off today and got a loaner. They said they have been in communication with the Ford Engineers. They think it’s an alignment issue so we will see.

Glad to hear that they gave you a loaner.
Hopefully they’ll figure it out soon.
