I have a Tremor on order and will be doing a 2.5" level. I'm trying to find out if 305/70/18 tires will fit on 18x9 +20 wheels without rubbing. I know that 35x12.5's will fit on +20's. I also see that 305's will fit on the stock +34 wheels. There was a member that tried 305's on +6 wheels and they rubbed. I used an offset calculator and it shows the tire will be .3 inches closer to the fender but also the outside will be .29 inches further in vs 35x12.5's on +20 so it seems like it might work. Has anyone tried 305/70/18 on +20?

I run 305/70r18 G003s on Fuel Rebel 6 18x9 ET 20, off road. I'll need at least 1.5" of lift from the Icons when they come in or they will rub. When I was messing with the Eibachs,@2" lift, they didn't rub off road but they also never fully compressed.

The tire manufacturer and actual size are what is important for what will fit.

If I had to do it again, I would probably go with 285/75 18s for better overall fitment.

That's good info. Thanks Yeti. I was looking at Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's. I've seen them listed at 35.3 x 12.2 and 35.1 x 12.01 so its hard to determine the actual measurements. For comparison, Yokohama lists the Geolanders at 34.8 x 12.4.

I test fit my old STT Pros which are 35.08x12.8 (I think) and they were too big. The tread width on them was something I. The 11.8 range which was the problem.

I think those may be a little big but you won't know until you use them as you intend.

I’m the one that had the +6 offset that was test fitted an absolute no go with the Baja Boss in 305/70/18.

Had no rub at all on stock wheels.

I’m on +20 Fuel Ken Blocks 18’s and still have a touch of rub in reverse full lock.

Hitting a bump while turning also rubs. It’s manageable but I need to maybe trim.

Hard to do on a 72k truck.

In hindsight I’d have sized down a touch to a 295. You’d have no issues. I fell victim to the I NEED 35s and I’m gonna get em cuz they “fit”

The 305’s seem to run a bit large.

If you are going for no rub you need a more positive offset than +20 on those tires.

That being said the rub is minimal and manageable but I’m worried about off-road performance. You don’t need the clearance and tuck until well….you do.

Do you have any pics of the new setup? Also, are you rubbing on crash bars or on plastics? My local tire shop has Baja Boss AT's that a customer never picked up and they are willing to give me a great deal. I'm trying to convince myself that they'll work before I buy em

I went with the 295/70/18 Baja boss AT, getting them installed on the 13th. I didn't want to have any issues, pretty sure with the level they will fit with zero rub any time. The 305s will definitely require trimming to be perfect.

Tires all run different sizing, and the MTs run a little big. The 295/70 MTs are almost a true 35, it's very close.

How are you liking those tires?

Great man. Good off-road, little road noise, didn't super murder my MPG. They look awesome. Would buy again.
