I was just reviewing the order I placed today for a 2022 Tremor and noticed something I'd never seen before. It calls out a 3.73 ratio for the rear axle, and a 4.10 ratio for the front axle with the Torsen differential. Does anyone know about this? I would assume I'll want both ratios to be the same. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Mine is the same way. There is no way they are delivering a vehicle w/2 different axle ratios. My sales person and I talked about this, and after several phone calls she could not get an answer on it. So, we pushed the order through as is. Hopefully, we can get some clarification. Either the 4.10 is a misprint or a copy over from the Raptor Torsen, and it's really 3.73 for the Tremor... Or, the 4.10 Torsen is the only option, which would mean a 4.10 rear on the Tremor... I'm hoping for the later!!!

This debate has been going on for a while. I really don't think anyone knows for sure if you order the Torsen if you get 3.73's or 4.10. Ford really hasn't been to clear on this. I don't think we will really know until we see one on a lot or delivered to a customer.

3.73 gears 4.1 bias ratio for the lsd

Regarding this question, I just received a response from Rick Barnes who is a Principal Product Engineer with Torsen International...

Thanks for contacting Torsen. While we only produce the actual Torsen differential assembly and not the axle system that it is installed in, I expect that this is a coding error on Ford's part. This Torsen unit was used originally in the Raptor, which has 4.10:1 axle gears. When they adopted it for the Tremor, they added a new combination with 3.73 gears for that model. When the dealer ordering system was updated for the Tremor, they probably just copy/pasted the info that was there. There is not a situation where Ford would actually build the trucks with mismatched axle gears, however, if you have further concern, I would suggest contacting your dealer.

Meh, it may be time to look into a 4.10 for it anyway.

Bringing this back. For you guys that have received your Torsen equipped truck, is it a 3.73 front and back or a 4.10?

Man. I was hoping for the 4.1.
Good to know either way.
Ha! Me too. I don't remember but I think we would get the 4.11 if there was an upgrade
