So even after trimming crashbars, front inner fender, rear inner fenders I continue to rub on full u turns and basic turns on uneven terrain or transition bumps from street roads to house, business etc. So I’m searching wondering if a 4 inch lift would remedy my issues. I’m currently running a 2.5 auto spring lift on 35/12.50 MT’s on stock wheels which I was fine on until I added 1.5 inch wheel spacers a few days ago.

Anyways I just came across this kit ( I think it may of just been listed as I hadn’t heard of it ) and was reading that it requires a 20 wheel or larger. Does anyone know if a smaller wheel ( in my case stock 18 ) causes clearance issues that a 20 or larger wheel wouldn’t?

Only thing you could hope for is that your wheel spacers put the wheel out enough that everything clears but at that point your past the point of no return anyway

So I currently have the 1.5 spacer kit but I wonder if the 2” kit would make my clearance better or worse?

Im thinking worse since before I installed the spacers I had no issues with the 35/12.50 MT’s on stock wheels and began to have the issues once the wheel was pushed outward 1.5 inch by the spacers.

It would be great if the 2” spacer kit could solve my problems but I’m doubtful.

using a wheel spacer makes your rubbing worse. Running a wheel spacer is basically like running a very aggressive negative offset. Did you try running without the spacers?

*edit* no a 2" spacer will not help. 2" spacer = -51mm of offset.

I say don’t do the lift unless you are prepared to have to buy 20’s otherwise might have to pull your spacers until the next set of tires and buy a 34x11

Most diff drop lifts need a larger wheel or more negative offset to clear the lifted steering knuckle. The BDS kit you can run a 18x9 with 4.5-5" back spacing or -13 to 0 offset. If you go to a 20x9" you can run a 4.5-5.75" backspace or a -13 to +19 offset. Bigger wheel give more room for the knuckles. The RC kit is saying a 20x9 +6 or 5.24 backspace. I really don't want to run 20's because I off road so much. But the picture on the website shows the factory 18's. I think it is the same pic as the 2.5" kit.

Or just buy a set of wheels. Aftermarket wheels give you way better looks with less offset thus no rubbing

Im thinking this as well. 18x9 with a positive offset between 10-20mm should give more poke than the OEM wheels 34mm and eliminate the rubs.

Hi guy, just registered to the forum. I actually had my local shop install the 4" RC kit a couple of days ago. Threw on a set of 20" Fuel wheels in bronze along with some 35" Nittos. Honestly the truck rides fine, if not the rear suspension feeling a little stiffer and not as spongey as prior with the oem shocks. Just put it on the HWY today and used BlueCruise for around 200 miles so everything there's is all good.

Also definitely a fan of the ride height, was on the fence with the 4" kit and their leveling kit. Also unlike other setups I've seen on the Tremors utilizing other folks kits for the standard F150. We don't have to worry about cutting or removing the front skidplate.

Welcome to the forum!
That heights looks great, very glad to hear you are liking it and blue cruise is 100%.

Thanks for sharing, Truck looks killer. Anyway you could post the measurement from the bottom of the front fender to the center of the wheel? and any pics of the clearance of the wheel to the knuckles. I don't want to run a 20 if I can help it. I do like the stance of the truck and you don't have to cut the frame. hopefully the make a Vertex for the kit.

Vertex at 4 could be Goldilocks zone for me.

Spied this on FB. The white truck on the RC page is his. He text his RC buddy. People are wanting to know about the 18" wheels in the pic of the 4" truck.

Haha, that's on my thread. I called RC to ask if 20s are necessary since the truck they're showing has the OEM 18s. The sales guy was a total fucking cunt. He swore up and down the Tremor had OEM 20s and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about when I said it has 18s. I asked him to humor me and we can bet a lift kit on it. If he's right, it's on him, if I'm right, I'll send him the cost of a lift. To no surprise, he ghosted. I'm going to call again and see if I can get in contact with someone in R&D.

If you look at the two truck on the RC site, you'll notice the gaps in the wheelwells is different, the gap of the front bumper corner to tire clearance increases and the said skid plate is removed on the 4" pic. Maybe Photoshop tho cuz the placement looks identical with the background.

The truck above said he kept his front skid plate. 18’s, keeping the front skid, Vertex and no cutting would push me to this kit. But if BDS would do a 4” no cut lift I would go that route. Just wish I could run 18’s.

27 1/2 on the measurements, sorry for the delay I was out of town. I've attached photos as well.

Correct, but the one I was referring on the RC site has it removed. Also, does the skid plate leave the new front cross member exposed? A dude on the F150 page installed a Zone 4" on a Lariat and the a tremor skid plate and the cross member is no longer protected the same.
