I asked for roll-up windows, four on the column, and a four barrel carberator. They told me they'd throw in electric window switches, six free gears, and a couple of turbos, so I bought the thing to park beside the cement pond.

Seems like I've seen other 400A owners on here, and thought I'd start a thread for us High Life budgets. A really short and simple thread.

I've ordered an OBD cable, as there must be something you can mod on a 400A via FORScan. I don't have to worry about the double honk with the keyfob thing, because, well, the keyfob is stuck to the ignition when the vehicle's running. Will do the global windows mod with the double press/hold on the fob, get rid of the naggy bing-bong when the driver's door is open with engine running, disable auto-lock (hate that thing), and not sure yet if I can enable digital temps on the heat/AC knobs, on my analog truck. I did go ahead and disable the bing-bong for the driver's side seat belt, via the clicking/unclicking trick.

So far, I've added Husky floor mats, Husky wheel well liners, center console divider, and a leather wrap on the molded rubber steering wheel. Texture just wasn't doing it for me. Tried to find Active Orange heavy-duty thread to sew the wrap, but no dice.

Scheduled/ordered: LineX, BAKFlip MX4 tonneau, and 1" blocks to replace the factory 2.25" blocks on the rear, to level the rake a bit. Dixie horn TBD for AUX 1.

Ride on, 400 Club.

I just picked a 400A up this weekend and I am loving it. It may be the most basic of the trims, but it has everything I need and drives great. It was a truck sitting on the lot and they did X Plan, so I am psyched.

Nice! I did X plan as well, and feel like for what I paid, I drove away from the dealership with a lot of truck.
Have had it for about three months now and love that thing more every day. Dig my analog gauges, column shifter, and halogen headlights. No regrets on the 400A.

I have to agree with both of you. Love my 400a.
Back in April I found it about 90 miles away with 1400 miles.
The police dept. used it as a demo to see if it would fit their needs.
The new salesman had a tonneau cover and mud flaps put on pre-ford cash wait and I think he got in trouble for it.
Has work surface, 360 camera, spray in liner, and mirror lights ( I wish full zone light control but doesn't seem to be possible).
I can start the truck with ford pass but wish the fob had a button.
Couple other things I wish I had is heated seats, rear defrost, the step bed and trail turn assist.
Each is easy enough to live without or remediable and I cant complain about this beast.
The upper trims are equally awesome but I didn't feel like a bigger screen or digital dash for 10-20k more.
I personally don't care for LED headlights, hate leather seats and sunroofs and I really wanted the column shifter and manual key so she's perfect for me and my families needs.
I should also note if you guys haven't seen or looked the cheapest 400a right now is 14k more than back in April.

The longer I have my 400, the more I like it, with gears on the column, yeah, and my analog gauges. I personally wish shifters were still mechanical, and that some of the features of trucks were still a little "dumber" these days.
