Haven't had a chance with the tremor, but when I had my dad's 2015 f150 I did any time it was slick out. Handled much better than my 07 in 2wd on the ice, and you can turn sharply without issues like in 4wd. Downside is fuel mileage suffered a little. Using the slippery mode in the tremor not only puts its in 4a, it also reduces power so you're less likely to spin, in case you didn't know.Do you guys that have snowy/icy winters leave the truck in 4A for the winter? Any cons of doing this?
That's what Sport mode is for.Haven't had a chance with the tremor, but when I had my dad's 2015 f150 I did any time it was slick out. Haha I guess if you want to have fun in the snow....sport does put it in 4A.....I might have to try that out this winter. That's what Sport mode is for.![]()
It works but slippery mode is much more useful on ice, it's more controllable. This past winter I just kept it in normal mode and switched it to 4a, worked great for me.Haha I guess if you want to have fun in the snow....sport does put it in 4A.....I might have to try that out this winter.
Oh for sure, sport mode on snow and ice would be a little more entertaining....also a little more stupid, but what the hell.It works but slippery mode is much more useful on ice, it's more controllable. This past winter I just kept it in normal mode and switched it to 4a, worked great for me.
Ya just a joke. Max traction and controlled power is what you need. I always do 2nd gear starts in my Tacoma. It works but slippery mode is much more useful on ice, it's more controllable. This past winter I just kept it in normal mode and switched it to 4a, worked great for me.
I'm a redneck at heart, so don't get me wrong, sport mode in an empty parking lot was done, as was a trail turn assist demo in said parking lot, you can literally pivot on the inside tire in the right conditions. The only vehicle that will turn sharper is the broncoYa just a joke. Max traction and controlled power is what you need. I always do 2nd gear starts in my Tacoma.
