4a question

What are the downsides of always driving in 4a? I know sport mode puts it in 4a but what about driving around regularly in normal mode 4a? I would think maybe a mpg decrease but really not sure. Thanks

Impact on mpg, that’s about it. I won’t hurt anything and you get the benefits of AWD for the price of gas.

I drove it in 4a for 3 days and just lost a tenth of average mpg during the time, it runs in 2 wheel drive till it feels slippage then engages the front, so honestly it doesn't effect much. I have a buddy who has driven his lariat in 4a for 3 yrs.

I use it all winter up here in Alberta! Works great!

I don't like the torque steer you get with a Torsen front diff, so I only use it when I need it.
