2025 F150 Tremor 3.5 EB
Started with a 2016 XLT/ 3.5 EcoBoost.

Then had a momentary brainfart and got into a 2020 GMC AT4 (was a cool truck just not for me)

Then went back to a 2020 XLT 5.0. Great truck but traded it in for a '23 Honda Civic Si (cool car but too small).

Started a construction biz so got back into a truck. A 2023 Lairat powerboost (loved it).

And after 18 months, and 40k miles on the 2023 got into a 2025 F150 Tremor w/ 3.5 eco (needed the tax write off, almost pulled the trigger on a F250 but it was overkill).

Loving the truck so far, though a few quirks I'm adjusting to over my 2023.

Question- this has a 36 gallon tank, correct? I filled up for the first time today. 30 miles to empty. And only put 29.5 gallons in it. Figured I'd put in at least 33.

Welcome, and congrats on the new rig.

The total volume is measured with gasoline at the highest point in the tank where the float-sensor can read. You could top it off and get maybe 1-2 extra gallons on top of the 30 that you can actually put in on an "empty" tank.

The remaining 4 gallons as I understand is a reserve that sits below where the float-sensor level in the tank can read.

Total manufactured volume: 36 gallons.
Total fillable volume: 30 gallons (when "empty")
Total reserve volume: 4 gallons (fully usable)

Fascinating. Is that a new feature? Thanks for the reply.

My Powerboost had a 30 gallon tank that I'd normally end up putting 29ish gallons in.

My '16 & '20 both had 36 gallon tanks and I'd routinely put 32-34 gallons in.

The 16-20 F150s as I understand from my limited research 1) had a different tank design and 2) had an older EVAP system and pump design.

My guess is that the 36 gallon tanks on 21+ f150s are using the same fuel calibration method, pump, sensor and evap system as the non-36-gallon-equipped F150s. These parts sits higher relative to the lowest point in the tank when you compare them to the standard ones.

Welcome aboard @TCU34 - great to have you in the tremor family. How bout some pics?
Nothing fancy. Just an Oxford white with the 402a. Got her dirty yesterday.

Really wanted silver or space white, but this one was the best deal. I enjoy white.

Planning on Tint, PPF on the front bumper and Icon Rocklear coating the rest next week.

Bedcover, wheel liners, coming soon. Then some coilovers maybe later this year? What is everyone running? I almost put Eibach's on my '23 Lairiat but never got a round to it.

It's good luck that your first picture on the forum is of your truck with dirt on it. Nice work.

Interesting, you've done way more research than me then. Well good to know I have another 50-100 miles after the warning comes on.

I would still try to find gas when you get below 1/4 tank, but you'd be ok for another 50-100 miles like you said in an emergency.

Thanks! Just snapped it yesterday. Gotta do truck things with a truck, ya know?

I really wanted an F250 (legit walked away in financing at 2pm on NYE) but this has been good. I had to be honest with myself, I don't tow enough to justify the HD and the times I do need to tow, this can still do it.

Lol. I like pushing mine to the limits. Mainly just to see how far I can realistically go. I'd routinely put 30.xx in my PB.

Oh yeah, also going to add some power running boards down the line too. Assuming I keep this one for a while.

Congrats and welcome to the club and forum.
As to your question about coil overs, I’m riding on Bilstein 6112’s and 5100’s but some time this year, I’m going to upgrade to the 8112’s and 8100’s.

Shoot I forgot about the 8112s.

Did we get closure yet from the OP who was trying this out? Wasn't he trying the Bronco 8112s?

How is the ride? Bilsteins always rode a bit stiff for my liking

You’re correct, Bilsteins have always had a stiff ride and some will call the ride harsh and these are no different on the street but, these really come into their own when you’re kind of on the speedy pedal off road.

Personally, I’ve always preferred a better handling truck with less body roll on the street compared to a more floaty feeling.

The reason that I’m looking at the 8112’s and 8100’s is because they’re suppose to be a bit smoother on the street than my current setup and at the same time the handling improves.

Kind of the best of both worlds on and off road.

If I remember correctly, he fabricated some type of billet mount because his first one didn’t work.
I’m sure he’ll respond when or if he sees this.

I see that the Eibachs came out with a 2.5. That’s likely what I’ll go with.
