5 star finally has a 21+ tune

Nice! I am interested to see what the gains are. A tune for the '21+ Ecoboost has been a LONG time coming.
 
The transmission part alone is generally worth it but on 91 I’d think they could get another 25/30hp/tq pretty easily
 
I was aware they were trying to work on it, this company is top notch with their stuff and great customer service as well. At least in past experiences with them.
 
GREAT news. I am very close to selling my 2014 FX4 and was gonna include the SCT X4 bc I thought it was going to be useless for the tremor. This is fantastic. Now I can just order new tunes!
 
I hope we start seeing some actual numbers soon for the various tunes available. I’m kinda leaning toward whipple because I like the idea of not having to change tunes all the time but I also know it will be less power than the rest. Good thing I have nothing but time to see how this all shakes out
 
Sweet! I’ve hit the Livernois tune now but I did keep my sct from the old truck, I may have to do a comparison!

I just sold my 2014 -FX4, I had it tuned and returned to Stock. I can use the SCT X4? I thought the new 22-F150's had a different tuner. Appears to be a different model

It's worth it, I had their tune on another vehicle has did a friend and they do great work, I was hoping they would come up with one, but was ready to just get the livernois tune if they hadn't by spring

Should I expect any efficiency gain (if I keep my foot out of it)?
 
Yes my 2017 with 5.0 was averaging almost 18 mpg combined and got up to 23-24 hwy.

I also have a SCT X4 used on 5.0 f150 that has been unused for years; can you verify a new vehicle and tunes be used with it? I thought they were locked to individual vehicles?
 
Little off topic, but still related and definitelyworth knowing. Spd is trying to have downpipes too this year....this was from the 5 star ig post announcing the tune for the 21+

That's the good thing about 5star once you buy it if you make mods, you can request a new tune from them to include the new item in the tune and it doesn't cost.
