So it's time to spend money again. I'm looking for some guidance on a 50" light bar that will be mounted at the front of my Super Pacific camper. I'm leaning towards a single row but nothing is off the table. My requirements start with reliability and function then go to looks and other niceties.

With that, I'm looking to mount a wind fairing in the same location. I think I may need to have that custom fabricated but thinking a 10" blade with a cutout for a single row bar and curved to fit the top of the cab.

I think what you describe would look and function great. I'm no help on light bar recommendations - seems there's just so many products out there with all sorts of advancements and adjustments. I think it's Rigid that has speed-dependent adjustable beam patterns (automatically adjust based on how fast you're going) and so on. Do you have or plan to have any other forward facing auxiliary lighting? Might drive your choice of beam - spot, driving, a hybrid.
A single row bar would probably be cleanest, but you could also use individual pods cut into that fairing too depending on how much light you're after or if you want specific control over aiming.
The world is your oyster.

Is the camper 50" wide? Are you going to use the T-Slots to mount the light? As far as lights go, it truly is get what you pay for. I just looked and couldn't find the pic of a row of SxS's on top of a dune with roof lights. You can easily tell the Rigid and Baja Designs from all the china knock offs. Single or double row, that up to you. BD has a 50" single row laser light for a low price of $8,499.00 that would look epic up there. 😂

I've been happy with BlackOak LED but I know there are other options/better values, for the money. BlackOak, Rigid, BD and Diode Dynamics are all in the running just off of experience or reviews.
For mounting, I'm open on either mounting the light to the t-slots or to the fairing then the fairing to the t-slots then run a rubber seal down to the roof
My current idea is spot up top and mixed beam above the camera on the front grill. I opened up the Cobb fmic today to try to get an understanding as to how much space I would have on the grill to add a light bar. It's not a lot but may be doable by removing the top cool looking grill piece.

Just a thought...
upTOP overland makes fairings for their roof racks with light bar cut outs. Perhaps you can fit one of theirs to work with the bar and camper? Or would at least be a starting point.

They don't list the F150 here but they make a roof rack for our trucks.

If I have some time this weekend I'll see if I can mess around with my 40" bar behind the grill to get it to fit.

I've been a fan of Baja Designs and they've performed great for me on other trucks.

Those are close to what I want. I also realized that putting a 50" bar in a 50" space doesn't give a lot of room for a 50" fairing.
The way they wrap around the BD light definitely compells me to go with them and a 40" BD bar.

I would recommend diode dynamics they make great light bars and pods, with there huge range of products you easily add pods later down the road that match your light bar!

Just my thoughts...
After searching for months through forums and YT videos I chose to go with Heretic Studios.
They have both 40" and 50" options.
I grabbed a 10" amber lightbar for a license plate bracket and amber BA-2 for ditch lights and I'm very happy.
Lifetime warranty, 100% designed, manufactured and assembled in the U.S.A. Excellent customer service and fairly quick shipping.
IMHO they just look better than the rest as well and even though they don't have a backlight/DRL option, the amber matches the headlights and reflectors on the front really nicely as well as gives you a distinct different color while driving in snow and fog.
I should note that as far as I've seen none of their options are SAE rated for "on-road" use.

Looks great, how did you mount the bar in the lower grille? Thanks

Steel (coated) license plate bracket replacing the factory plastic snap on one.
Very similar to this one from Rough Country. I don't remember where it was from, who made it, etc. I had it lying around from my 2door Tahoe project that never got used.

I pulled my grill off this weekend and tried to fit a 40" Baja Designs S8 behind there... long story short... no way unless you do some serious cutting on the louver assembly.

I think i'm gonna try this next - compared to the Raptor grill we have a lot less open space and I think we'll need to mount these up one row higher. The mounts look like they can mount on any of the louvers that you pick. So maybe can even mount two pairs.

Forgive my horrible sketch but something like this

I went with the rigid
Now to get the long term bracket and fairing fabricated

Funny thing I just left the dealership and the service department was talking to a guy about a recall on his Ford vehicle that they were required to go in and remove four of the louvers due to over heating issues, not sure what vehicle it was though.

Saw this earlier and am slowly working through fabrication of a similar bracket using the clear lens version of this same Heretic light bar. Initially thought about using the Baja Designs version to match my pillar lights, but this one is much thinner and allows the clearances I wanted. As soon as it's done, I'll post some pics.

Make 2... just sayin

Looks great, I believe heard you say Putco for offset mounts. Do you have a part # or link to where you bought them?
