I installed OEM LED tail lights this week on my 401a. I am very happy with the result and definitely recommend it, if you find a deal on the lights. I decided on the Raptor tail lights, which are identical to the Tremor 402a LEDs aside from illumination strategy. I used a Boosted Grey Goose Designs harness and FORScan for the halogen to LED conversion.

what did the lights set you back?? would love to upgrade my taillights one day wish morimoto made something for our trucks

Definitely plan on doing this whenever my 401a arrives sometime in the next year (hopefully), so glad to see it's relatively straight forward.

I used 130,000 Ford pass points ($650) and have a friend at a Ford dealer. I spent about $900 for the lights and $150 for the harness. There’s a set on FB marketplace and in the FB tremor group right now for $1100.

Yes, pretty simple and really changes the look

Mahalo to @ DC8. Helped me a lot. I just completed mine. I think hardest part was just getting some decent customer service from the Ford Parts guys here. Had to track some things down outside of Hawaii . Was a little more pricier for me due to going through Ford for the parts but expected that. Granger Ford had some decent pricing compared to here in Hawaii. I am not sure how they compare to dealers close to you and guy there was a lot more helpful and provided great customer service then here in Hawaii. What is messed up is that for future purchases if I need to go through Ford, I will just use them. All the way from Iowa I think to Hawaii lol. Like DC8 mentioned Raptor and the Tremor 402a have the same LEDs with that black housing inside but I believe there is the LEDs that come with the other higher end packages that are more white / silver instead of black. The Raptor / Tremor 402a LED do look better to me. I almost made the mistake and ordered the non Raptor / Tremor ones. Everything is working good but I am getting on and off hyper flash I think they call it but only have been driving a day and seems like it is going away. Weird. I do think they make the truck look that much better. Day and night. Thanks again @ DC8.

Looks great man! Boosted Grey Goose Designs will help you sort out the hyperflash. Be sure to specify if you installed the Raptor or the Tremor LEDs. They look the same but are slightly different.

Your wheel/tire setup looks great too! What are you running?

Ya I am reaching back out to them. It seems to be going away as in happening less and less. I know Boosted did acknowledge the Raptor LEDs when I emailed them and they advised just to change the first set of codes only which I did. The pdf they sent originally has 3 sets of codes. I did notice the other 2 they advised not to change due to being Raptor LEDs, did not match up with my current stock codes but I just went off what they told me and change the first set. I will see more once I drive around this weekend. Even with the hyper flash, everything seems to be working normal. I think even with hyper flash kicking in, I think the blinkers outside still operate normal from what I can see on the front reflection lol but I haven’t looked at the back while it kicks in. I’m not too worried about it. I know it will be resolved eventually.

Thanks. Current wheel tire set up is ICON Compressions black satin 18x9 w/ +6 offset, Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/70/18.
