Guess I should hurry up and make up my mind if there's any changes I want to make to my order. Been debating adding bluecruise. More of a want than a need though

Do you know if you need to have a vin# assigned to avoid this or just have your order confirmed?
It's my understanding you just need to be confirmed. I considered making an order change after I ordered but was told by Granger that I would be subject to the $880 price hike they did on 12/27.

So freakin disappointing! I just received my vin# from Ford 10 minutes ago on my order placed in December. 4/4 build week. I was really excited. Unfortunately I ordered from Chapman Ford Horsham for the 4% discount. Well Chapman Ford won't honor the price they quoted! It's too much work to submit the claim to Ford they say. It went up $880 in December and now $1,500. $2380 is more than the savings they are offering. What a joke. Would have been better off buying one off the lot 3 months ago. Don't order from Chapman Ford! You will not be able to afford the truck by the time it gets delivered in like 8 months!

That's outrageous! Did you make changes after you ordered?

If you have it ordered and the build sheet quoted the earlier price they have to honor that price, it's a contractual agreement and will stand up in court. I would contact an attorney before I would let them screw me on the deal.

I was going to change the order last week but decided not to. So no, the order has not changed from the original that was quoted by Chapman Ford in mid December prior to any price increases.

Ok so was it quoted or do you have a signed order sheet like this?

I have the order sheet that I signed and sent back to them along with a copy of my drivers license. The order sheet has msrp and invoice price and order #. At the bottom it says "this is not an invoice". I then have an email quoting that invoice price from the signed DORA then 4% off that invoice price. And I have a confirmation email from Ford dated 12/23 which was before any price increases took effect.

Glad I ordered in January.

Shoot. My tremor had a $2500 “market price adjustment” I told them…. “Yeah. If you wanna sell the truck right now, I’m not paying that.” They said they couldn’t. I walked back to my gmc. Sale manager came out. I showed him my means of purchase. And they took it off.

Just have to call out the BS from the dealers and Ford. There’s no shortage of customers I get that…. But there are plenty of options for buyer too.

Yup, just remember, you can always say no and walk away. Whether or not you’re willing to do so depends on what it’s worth to you. To some, paying X Above MSRP is worth it (save time, hassle, and immediate gratification) and to others (most on here probably) it’s not. You just gotta decide.

Who did you work with at Chapman? And what location? I also ordered through them and confirmed after the first increase that I wouldn’t be impacted due to having a retail order prior to increase.

I went ahead and asked Granger about adding bluecruise, and they confirmed, order is in so not subject to price increase (as you would expect)

I have always been under the impression if your order is placed and confirmed prior to a price change then you are grandfathered in. However, if you make changes after the price increase you will be impacted by the price change. I understand we live in a world of constant anxiety and worry but I think you will be fine. And for those getting hosed by an individual at Chapman, call and ask for Tom Borah (Owner Operator) at 215-410-2210. He is a very helpful and nice guy, I am sure he would not be cool with what you are dealing with.

That is how Chip at Granger explained it to me.
