Admit it, did you check this when you bought the Tremor?

Surface rust. I saw it on almost all the other non-Tremor F150s but not on ours. Tremor videos on YouTube so far seem to confirm it. I dunno what Ford did with the first F150 batches, but it was nice to benefit from not buying too early.

I’m pretty sure a lot of them built in Kansas City got stored in the caves. In years past I’ve seen hundreds sitting in empty mall parking lots.

I think the rust had come from F150’s built at the Dearborn Plant which sat there.

I believe all the tremors are being built at the KC plant.

Built in Dearborn. No visible rust

It couldn’t help that tens of thousands of incomplete trucks sat in parking lots after production waiting for chips…. Interesting note, none of the trucks in the picture appear to have a twin panel moonroof. Food for thought for those buying a 2021 used at some point in the future.

All the Tremors were recent productions starting in August at Dearborn — none were parking lot storage.
