Has anyone else had issues with their air conditioner? My AC will work initially but once I've been driving for a while, it goes out. The time for it to stop working varies. The other day it worked for about an hour and a half (blows cold) and then today it only worked for about 30 minutes before it gave out. It will begin working again once I've turned it off for a while but again will eventually give out. I have an appointment to take it to the dealer to get looked so we'll see what they say. I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar issues as I'm concerned that based on the fact that it works intermittently they won't be able to identify the issue so thought if someone else has experienced this that they may have input I could use when I'm drop it off at the dealer.

I haven’t had any issues but learned this yesterday and plan on practicing it.

Did you learn anything at the dealership? Check out this thread and see if you have the same issue.

I encountered an issue with the AC for the first time yesterday in my 2022 F-150 Tremor with 3,700 miles. I tried everything, and nothing would restart the air blowing. After about an hour and a half, I found the closest dealership that refused to look at it unless I left it for a week. I decided to have dinner, and when I came out, it was once again working correctly. I made an appt with my local dealership for this morning. I presented TSB 20-2089, which is no longer in the system "outdated." There was nothing for an A/C issue at all. Even with the video, the dealership refused to do anything unless I left it with them for an estimated 17 days, with no loaner, or brought it back with the issue active. These are vehicles; how can Ford expect this to be okay?

I love this truck, but if this is the path forward, there is no way I can make this work. Every month I take at least one thousand-mile road trip. That's a pretty tough risk in Texas/August. I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

Same situations here,,, has happen 3 times in my truck very intermittently. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't do anything since they could recreate it and didn't find a TSB.

I did make a Forscan change to disable the recirculation shut-off that fords has in these trucks recently (it's on the Forscan thread on here). Been really hot here lately and no issues currently.

I am also having this same AC problem noted on here. Curious if anyone has had a resolution. I printed the service bulletin and would like to know if it is the actual problem or not. Looking for help here. Very annoying. The AC just quits. It still sounds like the blower is blowing just no air coming out. My first thought is that it is frozen up but don’t see how there is anything I could do to cause that. The TSB I printed out is the 22-2089

I drove mine around until it happened and drove straight to the dealer. Tomorrow will be 21 days. They said a sensor needs replaced.

I fought with the dealership for days as they were unable to recreate the issue. The advisor, Josh at Mike Maroone Ford in Longmont Colorado, was really good though. He asked me if I would let them have a fleet driver drive it for a few hours on a trip the guy had to take. I allowed them to do it and they were able to recreate it. He said it was a condenser issue. He also told me they had three others call with the same issue after they identified what the problem was with mine. You may give Josh a call and see if he can give you any info that you can pass on to the dealer you are working with.

What sensor to be exact? Evaporator (inside the cabin) or the Condenser (coil by Radiator)?

Can you please get the details to post on here to help others fight this issue? The dealer couldn't recreate it for me here, so somehow I have to catch it doing it or be able to recreate it and head straight to the dealer , or we have proof from another source on here.

It's happen now 4 times to me.

Last conditions encountered when it happened. End of August 2022
A/C = ON
Temp Setting = LO
Fan speed = 2 or 3 (so low fan)
Recirculation = OFF
Timing / Event = Driving down the road with above settings for 5-10 minutes.
It was hot (85~90F) and humid outside. Went to crank the airflow (getting warm inside cabin) and fan made noise but didn't blow hardly anything through the vents, same symptom as previous events of this happening.

Quick fix (not the permanent solution) = Cranked the heat to HI in the truck for 30 seconds with fan flow on high (speed 7). Once I could tell airflow was getting stronger I cranked it back down to LO, with recirculation ON. Airflow returned and A/C was working the rest of a 5.5 hr trip, recirculation was on the whole way back.

Really seems the evaporator is freezing up due to something happening. To be continued....
