I picked up my truck in the winter and had no complaints on the heater. Now that summer is coming in I've had opportunities to run the A/C and while it is usually OK, I've had a couple of times where it's not working. No matter what buttons I press, no cool air. I can barely feel air circulating. The next time it works. It has never froze me out but I should be able to ride with the windows up and not sweat. Sounds earily similar to shifter issue I saw. They both seem to be an electronic "short circuit" in one way or another.

I would like a point of reference. For any who have already experienced the summer heat, how's the A/C?

My AC gets freezing, and fast. I'm in the Miami heat and it keeps me nice and comfy. Definitely not normal what youre describing.

Check fuses?

A fuse is either working or blown, not intermittent. Right?
Thanks for the Tremor cooling reference point. I've been in other F150's and they had no issues cooling at all. I think I will take into the dealership for a checkup and see what they can find.

Some people have reported the fuses being loose, and literally just pressing each one in did the trick for problems like that.

With the dumb auto start/stop the A/C will stop working while parked at at light etc.. does not sound like your issue but just in case

We just hit the 80's and I have only had my truck two weeks. I am super disappointed in the A/C so far. Hardly any air blows out of the vent between the window and steering wheel on the drivers side. I set it at 68 on auto and the truck will not cool off. I have to put it full blast on low. I even have ceramic tint. My 19' Expedition with all the extra glass and volume would freeze you out on 68 auto both front and back seats.

That's exactly what I am experiencing too. Calling dealers and getting told 2 weeks before they can look at it.

I’m in the same Missouri weather as you Dave. My AC gets cold and haven’t noticed any issues with it so far. I will say that it feels like about 90% of it blows out the front middle vents, 8% the front side vents, and about 2% in the back vents.

I now have an appt on Tuesday after calling around.

I've had this problem happen 3 times so far since April. Let me know what your dealership finds/says when they check it out for you.
Every time it's happened the A/C is running fine then, then the fan goes to super low and A/C stops (80F+ degree weather). Nothing will reset it, except turning off the truck and restarting. Wonder if there's a TSB out on it?

There is a TSB on it. The evaporator had to be replaced because it would keep freezing up. It was in the shop for two days because they had to remove the dash to get to it. I did have them address the 2 recalls and do the first oil change while it was there.

The good news is that the truck is cooling better than ever.

Ok, thanks for that information. I guess I’ll call and get an appointment with the dealership then.

Was yours doing it all the time? Or just every so often?

Man, it’s disappointing they had to tear apart the dash to get to it… glad it fixed for you.

It only did it 3 or 4 times. I was worried when I went in that I would have a problem because it was working well.

Sounds like my case here as well. When was your truck built? Mine was built week of November 29, first week of December 2021.

@KCDave
Do you have the TSB # you can share from the dealership. My dealership (Granger) said that they aren't finding one. I'm dropping off my truck to have it checked out tomorrow and would love to have that information in hand.

Welp, the dealership couldn't find anything out on my A/C, no codes and they didn't find any TSB's on it. It's intermittent so it's hard to diagnose if it's not doing it at the time. but it has happened 3 times to me, twice myself and once to my wife driving it.

@KCDave, can you please get the TSB from your dealership that replaced your evaporator to fix the issue. Needing some help here.
I don't want this to string out past warranty some how and I'm left holding the bag....

TSB 22-2089 might be the one you're looking for. It also calls out the engine fan running all the time which is what I'm experiencing even when the temp outside is in the mid 70s.

@Erlo22 Thank you! I'll print it and put in the truck for the next time if happens for next time is going in for service to check it out again.

They said they couldn't find a TSB on it.

Have you experienced the A/C stop working as well?

Only a hand full of times but it was more like a loss of power for a few seconds and the blowers would kick back in and continue cooling.

Yeah, not my case. Fan basically stopped blowing, just a trickle of airflow and warm air. Nothing would rest it, turning fan and A/C off and back on, nothing. Only a full power cycle (shutting truck off) would do. Hopefully having this TSB in hand will help next round.
