I watched the Fifty Nation Garage YT video on the first gen of the lights. They had White LED, Amber, sequential etc.. I did not like the "white" look of them when off. So AM Offroad now has a smoked version. No white, just amber and also sequential. Had some issues however with the description stating "Plug and Play, seamless integration to your wiring". 50Nation posted a video of the new smoked and he had a new wiring harness that included headlight molex connectors so that no splicing was needed to get sequential turn signals. My smoked lights came with an older wiring harness that needs a wire spliced into the headlight wires. I do not want to T-tap into a brand new trucks headlight wires and then have Canadian winter and salt ruin things. I have been fighting with AM Offroad customer support that the description was false advertising. They said the headlight plug and Play kit is still being tested and not available yet. (although they let 50Nation post a video about it...) They have since changed the description on their website. The offered me a $15 refund for the issues! Lets just say that conversation is still ongoing ;-0) So I wired them up to Upfitter #1 switch by the battery and I can just turn them on anytime. I have asked AMOffroad to send me the headlight connectors when they are available, we will see how that goes. Having them turn on with headlights, turn on during the day with upfitter#1 and any time they are On also do seq turn signals like in the 50Nation video would be great. So for now at least its installed and looks very cool. The smoked is the way to go as it disappears when off. I also think the colour of the amber matches the headlight DRL pretty good.

Not sure if fellow Canadian Mr. 50Nation is on this forum, but let me know what you think of my issues. I imagine you are a paid endorser or received a free kit to do the video.

I did the smoked ones. Almost invisible in daylight.

Don’t use those T tap connectors. They are cheap plastic connectors and damage your OEM wiring (To Your Headlights). Get them to send you a wiring harness or find someone that sells one.

Agree, I did not do the headlight signal wires. Just did the power to upfitter switch. I demanded to Amoff-road that they send me the new harness and headlight adapters when it is available free of charge. They agreed to that. So we will see.

Same here. Only connected to the upfitter switch. No sequential turn signal. Used one of the upfitter switches that connects to the ignition, keeping it on and it now functions truly like DRL.

I just received mine I haven't opened the box. I contacted them and they verified they do not have a wiring harness. I want them returned they did not argue and said they would produce a return label. So we will see if it is that hassle free.

Hey Woodsy I was under the impression all grill lighting kits would be getting headlight adapter harnesses. Obviously there has been lots of confusion and from what i have been told AM Offroad is sending out those adapter kits to all the individuals who bought the grill lights.

If anyone has questions about the YouTube channel, builds or questions in general feel free to comment on the YouTube videos or DM me personally @geoff5.0 on Instagram.

Yes, they will be sending them out on Monday. I just confirmed.

You can always get the harness from Starkey products. That way you don’t have to tap oem
Wiring.

Code Ldfttremor should save you a little $ as well.

Staley’s harnesses are great. I have a few on my truck and I use them for the harnesses that I sell for my grille lights for the 21-23 trucks.

I just placed an order for the grill lights. Prior to the order I emailed their customer service and asked specifically about the harness. They said it was recently updated with the harnesses and it would be included. I will report back when I receive my shipment.

Just checking in with this group to see if anyone had the same issue. Was going to order the smoked kit, which appears to have been updated now to confirm inclusion of the harness, but it is showing me a shipping cost of over $70. Their website shows free shipping and I'm in Texas so not sure what is going on. Reached out to their support as well, but haven't heard back yet.

The free shipping is a lie. I got them to give me a 10% discount code. Ordered over a week ago and it still hasn’t shipped. I’ll probably do a chargeback pretty soon

Well that's disappointing... Still not sure how its $67 shipping either.

I am assuming it’s coming direct from china so there are tariffs in play now.

My harness is supposed to be on the way. Will report back once received and installed successfully.

Their email to me said you can pay the 130+70 shipping from china, or when they are in stock they will be $190 with “free shipping” 🤣

It’s bullshit
