I've sure FoMoCo made the spring rate soft as most people don't actually use their trucks for much more than groceries but those of you who do load it up, I'm sure have been unimpressed. 1200# pounds in the bed below and it was riding way lower than I would like. I am thinking about reaching to Deaver for some options but just wondering if anyone else has explored this yet? I don't mind throwing some money at this problem. Airbags, helper springs, roadmaster active whatever are cheap bandaids that don't truly solve the problem since they all have their drawbacks. I'm wanting a progressive, linear that does not limit articulation. I run around 80% of the time with not a lot of weight in the bed but not uncommon to put this much, and more, weight in the bed. I've got a three+ hour trip Friday with a max-GVRW load for instance.

I think @Yeti has been in contact with Deaver several times. My experience with the RAS is it has not hampered articulation at all. It would be nice if Deaver did produce some for the Tremor.

Do you have RAS on your truck? They are like 15 min. from my house haha.

I do not have it on this truck, my buddy has it on his lariat, he pulls boats and a 3 horse trailer with it, I made the suggestion to him to give it a try and he loves them, I have not seen that it has limited his articulation at all, but then again everytime I have been with him he has had one or the other attached to his truck.

Yeah, my best guess with Deaver is going to be an HD+3 , for my use. I have the RAS on full time, now. When I finally get my front springs replaced, I'll need to tighten it up a bit to make sure I still have some rake. If I do make a trip to white knuckle, this year, I'll schedule some time with Deaver, too.

Loaded up last night, about 3" away from the bump stops. I just wish the spring rate was not so soft, wonder what it is compared to a regular F-150. Put 60# in the back tires.

Screw the springs. If you're going to be making that much 'que, I'll transport half of it. RAS would help with exactly that. Or, reach out to Deaver and I'll buy whatever they make for you.

Haha. I buy a pallet every six months or so and split it with some buddies.

I may reach out to Deaver next week, will keep you updated.

I come from towing with a F350 so I'm a bit biased but I have to agree, the tremor is way to soft for actual truck stuff. I tow a 16ft v-nose enclosed trailer with two sleds quite often and it can really start swaying if I'm not careful. Probably shouldn't have bought the squishiest (is that a word?) f150 but damn if it isn't a good looking truck.

I have RAS installed to help with towing my 33' travel trailer. It works great, and I have been off-roading multiple times and have never noticed a decrease in articulation. The only downside is the backend was raised about 3/4" as I have the RAS in the firmest setting.

This is my new project as well. Anyone have link to RAS that you put on? Also, Am I missing something? My understanding was there's no difference in our leaf's and a regular F150. Is that incorrect ?

(RAS®) RoadActive Suspension 3611-YHD | Fits Ford F150 4WD 2009-2022 https://a.co/d/7vEZl9X

This is the heavy duty model, the standard duty is $50 less but I would say you need the HD.

Thanks brother! I'm going to a cap with bigger RTT this season. I need less sag. You said this won't effect articulation much?

Most people have not noticed any articulation limitations from this, my experience has been that I haven't seen any limitations to it either but if it does it is very minor. The thing I like about it is you can take it off anytime and put it back on, once you have it set it up it only takes about 20-30 mins to remove or add it. When you do it and have some time with it under your belt do a video on it please.

Awesome, we'll give it a shot and see how it does on the trails. I love the design super simple. Thanks!

For you guys with the soft spring complaints- do you have the trailer tow package? I believe I read you get 2 leafs instead of the one and plastic overload spring. I don't have my truck yet, so I can't compare.

I haven't seen any difference in the springs that I can tell just from looking at it, the tow package may have a little heavier or thicker spring but without measuring it I can't tell the difference.

What are the cons to air bags? Had them from the factory on the last tow vehicle but there was also zero off road time with it.
