I know this is an older thread, but just kinda wanted to see what the decisions were and thoughts on how everything turned out. I ask because I've been concerned for a while about the sagging rear suspension (the rear leaf springs run fairly flat instead of curved as I would expect), and my mechanic mentioned it to me today as well, so I'm finally dealing with it.
I don't run all that much weight in the back (there is the Decked system and a SmartCap with a few resident items, but likely under 500Lbs, so I wouldn't think the springs would sag so much- I'm concerned something is broken or bent (I'll look at it as soon as it dries out outside), but the mechanic didn't mention anything broken or bent when he was under there today for the oil change/wheel balancing).
I do use this for some offroad, which could get to more complex stuff (hopefully not much more than a 3 to 4 rating, but 5 is possible) in the disaster environment (and just wheeling) so I need to have the flex and articulation, but at the same time, the truck needs to be able to carry 1000+ Lbs of gear and equipment.
I know there was talk about Deaver making something Tremor specific but I don't seen anything from them on the website beyond 2022 for the Raptor.
Part of the question, I guess, is whether this is a design/warranty-type issue or an issue of too much or constant weight.
I should also add that I do have the tow package, and I also realize that there are products like RAS and airbags, which are a possibility, but it just doesn't seem like I should need something like that with the amount of weight I'm carrying. I'd also prefer a simpler setup, running just appropriate springs instead of using aftermarket add-ons which could be a liability or failure point.
Thanks!
