Anyone have their 2021 Model Year changed to a 2022 yet?

Back in early August I put money down on a November 1 build date of a 2021 Tremor (Lead Foot 402A pkg) and would be delivered the 2nd week of December. I just heard from the salesman saying that it is now scheduled to be a Nov 14 build with a end of December delivery.

I thought I had read somewhere that the trucks starting to be built mid November would be 2022 Model Years. But the other interesting thing is that Lead Foot is not a paint option on the 2022 model year.

Maybe I'll be the unlucky fella that gets the last 2021 Tremor off the line. Somebody has to do it I guess!

Unlucky to me are the guy’s who ordered a lead foot and got bumped to 22 and now can’t get it.

I wouldn't call it unlucky if you become the owner of a new Tremor....
Ya, that may have come off more "disappointed" in written text than I meant it. Not trying to complain. Mostly just curious and wondering out loud on what I would rather have... a late model year 2021 that is in the Lead Foot I ordered? Or to get moved up to a 2022 but have to pick a new color.

If I remember correctly, the last build date for 2021 Tremors is 11/14. So we could possibly have the first and last LF Tremor builds on our forums. Until Ford gets a new batch of LF. I'm reasonably certain that if you have a VIN, you'll get a 2021.

If mine is any indication, your original schedule is possible. The tracker for mine changed to "in production" today and my window sticker has a build date of yesterday. It was scheduled for Nov 4th.

That’s the date that I had heard… so that is what made me question what the salesman told me. I do not have a VIN yet. I assume the same, when one is assigned I’ll know what year it is.

Thanks for the info on your order. Interesting that it moved up Closer vs. further away! Excited to join the club when it finally arrives!

I ordered a Lead Foot 401A on 8/16. Had a VIN by the end of that week. Original build week was 10/18. A couple of weeks ago it got pushed back to 11/8. The week before the supposed final build week. If they stick to that schedule I’m not sure that it’s possible to actually get a 21 that doesn’t already have a VIN and build week scheduled. That being said, they may end up building 21’s beyond that date. Anything is possible anymore and nothing would surprise me. I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t end up getting mine.

They just re-ordered mine!

I need to prompt my salesman a little more. Since I didn’t order this truck from the beginning and it was one of their inventory cars, I haven’t been given access to anything online to see the order. Just have the specs from their original order. (I did change the color to LF)

So i guess there could be a VIN assigned? And I just haven’t heard? Like I said, this is all good info and makes me think I need to ask a few more questions with my salesman / dealer.

Sweet! Sounds like the 2022’s are starting then! It sounds like you elected to go with a 2022… can I ask what your reasoning was? I didn’t see it in the other thread… hopefully I didn’t miss it. TIA

Well, I guess since my order wasn't in the production phase yet, time ran out for me to get into this years model. So they had to get me into the next years model. It wasn't something I requested or necessarily wanted, but at this point I'm just happy to see any progression at all. Ya know?

I know having the last 2021 isn't exactly awesome, but I do hope that you get your truck this year, and that its in the color that you want!
I'm crossing my fingers for you. Plus it would be cool if you and Yeti had bookends LF Tremors.

I’m guessing (only a guess) that there hasn’t been a VIN assigned. When I ordered mine the dealer told me that Ford was pushing them to do custom orders so the chips were allocated to sold vehicles, meaning that they weren’t prioritizing dealer stock and didn’t seem too concerned about building them trucks to have sitting on the lot unsold. It’s likely that a dealer ordered truck for the lot got pushed to the bottom of the barrel while custom orders received the build dates. Nearly all of the trucks my dealer has been getting in have been pre sold. That’s my understanding anyway. Regardless, it’s worth a call to the dealer to see if it’s been assigned a VIN. If it has, I think it’s likely you’ll end up with the truck. If it hasn’t, I’d say it’s pretty unlikely, but this is all speculation on my part based off of what I’ve been hearing.

Just heard back from the dealer. They assured me that it's being built on 11/14 and is still a 2021 model in Lead Foot Gray...

I guess I'll know in a few weeks if the info is accurate or not!
