I know there is a thread here somewhere that discusses a wiring harness for the auxiliary switches. I can’t seem to find it, and also had a question on how the connections from that would plug into the plugs from the hood mounted spotlights from f150leds.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The loom for the aux switches is broken into two portions: Red (hot) and White (passthrough firewall). The location of the red loom is just by the battery, tucked behind and beneath the brace.

The fuse diagram is a PITA because ford didn’t give us hard copy paper manuals and you have to either use your phone or infrotainment in the truck.

Thanks for that. So do you know if I connected the wiring harness in the link you provided would the hood lights plug into that harness or would I need to wire a plug in the hood light?

When you say “hood lights” do you mean ditch lights?

Yes

PNW,

I'm a new Tremor owner also. You stated that they are broken into two portions. If you want to connect something to the aux switches in the cab, I assume one would use the white (passthrough firewall) portion? If that's correct, what would the other portion (hot) be used for?

Thanks,
Tim

Quick video on wire harness extension to help make connecting auxillary lights to the switches super easy.

That is correct.

If you have a 12v powered device you want powered inside the vehicle you have two options:

1) Fuse Tap
2) Run off an Aux switch in the cabin of the vehicle, you have to connect -- preferably of same color -- a hot wire (red) to a pass through wire (white).

To access the white pass-through loom you have to access the panel in the image here. They have the same wire colors for contiguity. There are also some good grounding locations in there too if that's something you plan on doing.

I have a 50W HAM Radio (Yeasu FTM-400XDR) powered off AUX6. I could have done a fuse tap but I'll worry about that later if I need the switch back (unlikely).

Sorry I forgot to address the last portion of your question above. The Hot-side of a red<->white connection makes up just 2 of 12 (6 red, 6 white) total possible connections under the hood. You could wire six individual devices for the cabin if you wanted.

Does that answer your question?

Do you know if the connectors from the harness would plug into the wiring from most ditch lights, or where I could find the corresponding connector to install on the wiring from the lights to plug into the harness?

They will not. The goal here is to extend the short OEM wiring to a connector which allows a device to be removed more easily, from the terminal, later. You still have to contend with your light’s harness

I don’t remember but which ditch lights / pods are you running and what size.
I’m considering the DDC2’s but I did a little research on the Morimoto 2 Bangers and they outperform the DD and they also have a great warranty.

I’m running the newer Rigid DSS Pro, side shooters.

I haven’t seen Morimoto’s light yet. That sounds cool though.

Have you seen this video?
Very interesting stuff.

That's a lot of video, I think I'm watched this before. It's amazing how far lighting technology has come.

If I had the money (and wasn't so turned off by the massive footprint and resulting blindspot) for the BD LP4s I would have bought those, but with my pro-deal on Rigid they were cheaper than all of the other options and for 4,000LM / corner it was worth it for me. I also think the Rigid mount for the F150 is the best on the market.

I agree with you on the technology.
It’s insane how such a small fixture can put out so much light.
I’ve read that some mounts don’t work very well with the TREMOR hood whereas they look crooked. Did you have any such issues with the Rigid mount?

I have 0 issues with the Rigid mount, it sits very level with the truck. It's absolutely solid. You could prob pull the truck out of a mud hole with them if you tried.

The wire harness extension from CB Lighting came with the pre-cut waterproof connectors, and heat shrink. you just have to cut off the Ditch light connectors and crimp the new connectors for the extension harness in their place.
