I have the B&O Unleashed and I am getting a lot of door rattling with the bass at not very high volumes or even that heavy of bass. I switched it to surround and faded it a little to the rear but it still is happening. Anyone have any suggestions?

I’m not impressed with the system at all. :(

I have the same. I think the system in general is pretty good- the music is pretty crisp and quite clear, but the door rattle has got to go. A little surprised there isn’t MORE bass in a system with as much power as they advertise.

Guys I just thought of something here, so many people bare complaining of this system not sounding that strong, seems a lot of the one that are complaining that it's not that strong were also complaining of the wireless charger not working well. Just a thought but the wireless charger not working well has been because of amps to the wireless charger, usually due to loose connections, it seems and it's not just Ford having the issue, these wireless chargers are supposed to operate between 7 and 10 amps, yet a service tech has found that unless they get at least 8 amps they don't work that well, in most cases he's found by tracing the wiring he has been able to get a solid 8 amps and those have worked fantastic. What if it's the same issue with the stereo, what if you traced or had them trace the wiring and get the amps to it up a bit?

Is the "tracing" of the wireless charger cable limited to within the center console being taken apart? Any idea on the insight of how hard it is? Have been considering ever since you said it to take apart the console again and see. My wireless charger sucks.

Most of the issues he found were in connectors in the dash. So he said it was a pain but it took him on average 4 hrs per job.

I had the non B&O system and upgraded to aftermarket. Added aftermarket speakers front and back, 5 Channel Amp and (2) 8" subs. Noticed some rattling coming from front doors after that. I added the youtube link below. This solved my problem. Not sure if you are experiencing the same problem?

Could be? I will investigate more. I felt like it was coming from the main door panel but could be wrong. That is a lot easier than dynamatting the door panel.

Saved that video for later use. Thanks.

I have isolated the rattle to just outside of the speaker grate. It is much more pronounced on the passenger side, but also prevalent on drivers side at volume. How can I fix this? My wife’s brand new Expedition Platinum with the B&O upgraded system sounds sooooooo much better and has zero rattle. Frustrating….

You could have Ford Service Dept. deal with it but not sure if they would consider that something they have to address? I think you have a good case when comparing it to your Wife's Expedition. Worth a try. Usually rattling from Bass is just some lose parts that need to be secured better. You can use that felt tape or anything else to help secure or dampen whatever needs it. Another way if money isn't an issue, you just want it done, would be taking it to a stereo shop. It's not really aftermarket but I am sure they would be able to figure out and resolve it. When I installed my aftermarket speakers in front and rear doors, I was worried about some rattling also and ask my friend to possibly Dynamat the doors. He said probably won't need to. I trusted his advice and doors didn't rattle at all even at high volumes and the mids hitting pretty good. Only issue I had was that youtube link I posted earlier on those plastic pieces for the side mirrors. Even that would make a squeaking sound just driving and nothing to really do with the speakers or sound system. The ultimate fix would be replacing that whole system. Not sure if you want to go there. 😆

Agree. Going to see about getting a service appointment. Wish me luck! Will post if they actually fix/improve anything. Hopes not high and if they don’t/won’t I will dynamat and felt tape everything.

Chances are it's a blown speaker or the door panel itself rattling. Here is a video on how to properly sound treat the truck along with adding block-off plates to the truck. This will resolve your issue as long as it's not a blown speaker.

I second the blown speaker

When I get mine I hope it rattles the doors and windows and makes ears bleed. I paid for a kick ass system. LOL
It may rattle but I think you will unfortunately be underwhelmed with the overall performance. It lacks low and mid punch. Clarity is good, Hughes are pretty good. The rest is below average.

I had the same issue on my truck with the drivers door rattling with heavy bass notes, as well as, bumps in the road. Very freaking annoying! I took it in to my local dealership for them to look at it and they said it was a loosely installed power door lock control module in the drivers door. They tightened the hardware and voila... no more rattle. Sounds great even at high volume. Now if I can just get that back window to stop rattling too.

This gives me hope.

I would love to fix the annoying mid bass rattle and then find an easy solution to add a 10” sub to fill out the overall sound profile. Bass is seriously lacking.

I have a 22 with the unleashed system. I was getting a rattle from the driver front speaker on some base. Base set at 50%, dealer checked speaker and said it was bad and replaced. I am suppose to get the truck back today so we will see.
