This is a 2023 Mantis Overland 5.1, not sure of any changes for 5.2. Mine was about 57k retail.

@Badmothertrucker - After reaching out to my contact at Taxa, there is no difference between a 5.1 and 5.2 for the Mantis trailer. The only difference is the 5.2 comes with dual batteries and an Iceco cooler/refrigerator.

I wish someone would make one with a usable 14' garage. The OVR is just over 13' and has an open floor for the most part. The Black Series is about the same and has inner fenders and battery boxes on the floor that keeps a wide SxS out.

If it was smaller than the OVR it would have been either a Discover or Explore, if it had a window in front of the side door it was the discover.

No I did not, we just went tent camping for the first time a few weeks ago so the seed has been planted for that future purchase and the entire family see's the benefit. I really don't know if we would use it enough to just spending $65k, most likely not but I've been known to buy cooll/stupid shit I never use for sake of the economy.

That's how I got started. I got a family sized tent and took the crew camping. After the second trip, and waking up in 30 degree weather waiting for the fire to get going... I finally got approval for a little RV. I picked up a used fiberglass "Casita" for $10k and rocked that for 3 years. Had to sell it to move overseas, so now I have to do the same thing again to get "permission" for another camper. Having a little bathroom was a key feature for my wife who doesn't like to stroll to the camp bathroom at 2am. I hope the prices are coming down- everything went up 50% during the last 3 years.
