Battery Died

So my battery died on Dec 24 and would not boost. My truck was one of the lucky ones that sat in a parking lot for 6 months while waiting for chips and I suspect that has something to do with the battery prematurely failing. I tried boosting it with another vehicle but was not successful.

Given this happened on Christmas Eve, the Ford dealer was closed and so I had to go get a battery from another vendor to not be stranded. Truck started right up after replacing it.

Anyone have any similar issues and anyone know how I get reimbursed for the battery as it would be under warranty? I tried Ford corp and they told me to contact my dealer. I'm just travelling right now and will contact them when back.

Bring the battery back to the dealer they should swap it out for a new one ....then you'll have a spare.

Mine crapped out last month in my 2022 with 1900 miles. Fortunately before the holidays. Dealer replaced it under warranty.
