Anyone have experience with the BakBox2.0? Seems like a good solution, assuming you're starting with a BAK product... Dealer threw me a huge bone and gave me a new BakFlip MX4, but looking at storage ideas underneath. Not a lot, just the basics for light offroad, tow strap, d-rings, hitch, shovel, hatchet, first aid...

No experience with that product, but please post what you untlimately decide to install, as I also want to add something for light storage w/o full toolbox.

I did the ReTrax cover and really like it so far. Very low profile and better than the Roll N Lock on my last truck.

Good luck!

Thanks, those look great and can probably strap down with the tow hooks in this front corners so they don’t slide. Thanks for sharing!

Check out this post. Seems to be the slickest solution I’ve seen so far.

Thanks! I’ll check it out
I do like how this solution removable when needed

I’ve only had them slide on me one time when I punched it but other than that they’ve stayed put. That’s a factory bed liner and it’s actually pretty slick. Much more so than the aftermarket spray on I had on my 15. I think there may be just enough clearance between those totes and the Retrax canister that I could use a bed mat if I wanted. I don’t think they would ever move if there was a rubber mat under them. I may try to come up with some sort of solution to stick on the bottom of just the totes though. Also, those two fit just between the two drainage tubes on the Retrax. Just a near perfect fit with the two of them.

I was thinking of something like this for under the tonneau but it's not cheap

I have a couple of those on my roof rack on the Expy. They are OK, One has warped already, but ROAM said they have a new design and will replace it when available. I am thinking about putting one on top of the Retrax on cross bars to get back the space the can uses. I hope the bed rack hides it so it doesn't look to stupid. Still waiting on the truck so no pics, just ideas.

I got this actually. Saw it on the Raptor forums. It fits very snug, will actually touch the wheel wells, but you can wiggle it in and out. I like it because it is tight fit and won't move. I realize it's because the raptor is a little wider so for them it fit just a little better.

It was expensive, but well worth imo. Very high quality, waterproof, and fit all my extras. I put a liner underneath and it's on the bed mat, but that was before I knew how tight the fit was so it really won't ever move on its own.

Thanks for the info, I'm putting in a Bedrug liner. I'll measure after install to make it will fit before ordering.

So it fits under the Retrax can? How much does it stick out past the can?

It does fit under. Doesn't stick out far, it's just tight width wise, it'll rub the wheel wells but I have the bed liner so idc. I also have the bed mat and a gorilla liner under the roam case. It can be easily wiggled out to access it.

Well, time for me to make an update. One of the two boxes I bought from Amazon (posted above) has busted. No idea how it happened. That being said, I’ve ordered a different set that are very similar in size (slightly smaller) that claim they are impact resistant. They will be a great fit between the drain tubes and underneath a Retrax canister. You can also buy them on Amazon. I’m hoping they are as good as they claim since the other brand I bought turned out to be a disappointment. Here’s a link to the new ones I ordered.

I received the new Front Runner boxes in today to replace the disappointments that came from Amazon. They are a little smaller capacity wise, but with some supreme Tetris skills I was able to fit everything in them that I had in the Amazon boxes. Initial impressions are these will be great and will hold up very well even if exposed to the elements. Far more heavy duty with a 10x better latch system. They also have a rubber seal to help combat dust and water. They weren’t cheap but I’d say they are definitely worth the money.
