I expect to pick up a 2025 F1501 Tremor on Tuesday.
I understand that after the trial period, Blue Cruise is a monthly subscription, but I seem to remember seeing somewhere that it is possible to pay a one time fee (something like $2300.00 - $2400.00) and have it for I think 10 years or maybe lifetime, but this has to be arranged with the dealer at the same time that the vehicle is picked up. This would be a savings of $300/$400 over the monthly subscription. I have forgotten the exact numbers, the numbers are a rough estimate from my memory.
Is anyone else aware of this?

I will caution you. BC the “hands free” portion is primarily only available on the main interstate system. Meaning most of the non-interstate main roads are not “hands-free” BC. That’s what they are charging you for. When the trial ends you will still have most of the functionality. Only difference is you will have to make the system feel like you are hands on by resisting the lane-keep assistance every 10 seconds or something like that. Lane-keep will continue to “steer” for you without BC, and you don’t lose any functionality of the adaptive cruise control at all, including the stop & go function in traffic.

Personally, I’d save the money and get a month long subscription as needed for a vacation trip… unless you drive the main interstate system daily in a long traveling job it’s no worth it, especially if you can get it as a “as needed” option.

Wait Ford is charging subscriptions for features you already paid for?

What's next? subscription to use the brake-pedal?

*Electronic sounds*
"Dear passenger, your subscription to use the brake pedal has just expired, please swipe your credit......."
*BOOM*

It might be best to ask your dealer or call Ford Customer Service.

I was sold BC with my truck. Why the fuck should I pay for a subscription? My FordPass app finally asked me about it after 3 years. Fuck them. I've used it 4 times? Maybe 5? Nahhhhhhh
