In the pursuit of balancing the orange accents, I'm wondering if anyone has considered or installed paint-matched caliper covers. Looks like MGP will do a custom color set for around $400.

Unfortunately I'm old and completely out of touch with youthful consensus on exterior auto accessories, and I don't want to drop $400 just to roll around looking like a retard.

You do you, man! I bet they'd look good peeking out around the dark charcoal wheels. I'd be more worried about keeping them clean and/or keeping the finish on their with as much abuse as they'd take on a truck - not just brake dust but dirt and rocks and salt and all that. Oh, and I'd also be a little anxious about getting the color matched - good discussion elsewhere on here about people having a heckuva time getting something close.

I’m liking your thinking.

These are all great points. I just ignored all of them and impulse bought a set in the spirit of taking one for the team.

Using a color picker they recommended I am going with "Orange Spice Metallic." I figure worst case in a few months Ford will announce Tremor style hoods and dual exhausts as standard equipment for MY23 F-150s and we'll be stripping our trucks of all evidence that we paid $5k for orange seat stitching anyway

I getting pretty old and think it would be cool. But orange Brembo's would be the sh$t. I say loose the orange or embrace it, but never leave it stock.

I’m thinking about red brembos and came across this thread in a search. Did you ever post pictures of the caliper covers?

G2 will do custome colors and the product works very well. When I did the pads and rotors on my son's f30 I also painted them using the G2 system. I would recommend reaching out to them for a color match and paint versus using covers. I feel like covers are the rice way to do calipers but then again O don't like the idea of painting truck calipers to resemble a sports car/sedan.

I’m with you, I wouldn’t use a caliper cover as a first choice, but was curious what they looked like if someone had done them. I painted the calipers on my Audi, added a decal and cleared it 3 coats, looks the same today as it did in Sept 2020 when I did it.

They tried to sell me on their basic orange due to wait time, and when I said I was fine waiting they admitted their shop manager didn't want to spend the money on it. Ended up getting pissed off and refunded.

Got it. Thanks

A few of us on here have painted the calipers with the Electric Spice Orange (FF4E) from a 2016 Ford (Fiesta and Escape had that color option) that seems to be a close match

I have a 2024 Tremor on order (Oxford white) and the three things that I want to add the orange accent to are:
1: brake calipers
2: rear tow hooks
3: rear tailgate F-150 outlined in black

I'd do this over caliper covers. There's a couple folks floating around that have done it already and it turns out clean imo

If you plan on wheels later, some 17s are stupid close in clearance with our calipers and covers might not fit.

I remember seeing your post with these painted calipers elsewhere but couldn't remember where. How many cans did it take to do all four calipers? Thanks!

1/2 of a 12oz can

Another option may be powder coating, didn't see it mentioned here. It is a more involved process as seals typically also need to be replaced due to the heat from powder coating. Did it once on a set of calipers that were discolored from track use and needed to be rebuilt anyway and it turned out really well. Cost of powder coating was about the same as the caliper covers mentioned by the OP, but that has been a few years ago.

Powder coating will typically produce a very good result but painting is definitely an easier and a far less costly solution.

Would you be able to show a little wider view with wheel on. Trying to see how much you can see it.

Thanks
