Are you looking for a paint matched or more rugged look.

We love the smart caps and even the rough country caps are pretty slick! If you want to talk options let me know!

Nice! I'm ordering a Smartcap for the Tremor this week. I'll be talking to you about the options... bit pricey tho. Do you have a dashcam w/rear facing cam? I'm looking at the Wolfbox cameras that clip onto the rearview mirror as I'm ordering the Defender series that has solid doors all around for added security.

10-4 man looking forward to talking. The smart caps are pricey but beasts!! A camera system would be a great addition, but we did not add cameras to this build.

I should be getting an Alu-Cab Contour Canopy in the next few weeks. I heard good things about quality and weight about them. A little pricy but I plan on keeping it for a while. There was a deal when I ordered for $500 in accessories with purchase. It's just all black aluminum and doesn't look as sleek as an RSI I think, and they don't paint them. I was just looking for weight and functionality.

You may want to do the SmartCap EVOa. I thought about the EVOd but ended up going EVOa. Still has the solid side panels but have the windows front and rear. There is a metal screen you can purchase, waiting on mine to come in, that you can add to the back for security but still have clear view through the back. Have a rear camera I can install on the window inside for rear security with my dash cam.

Bought mine through Offroad Alliance and they sent me the wrong 3rd brake wiring harness. Harness received was for a F150 Hybrid (LED Rear lights) and not a standard F150. Contacted SmartCap directly and they are sending me the correct harness.

I am bouncing between the ARE overland vs ARE cx revo. I think the black color in the overland will look good with the carbonized Grey and black trim. Looking to get the side opening windows. Any thoughts on the ARE SHELL?

Will you be looking at adding anything on top? Extra gear for camping, hunting etc. Those caps can't hold any weight on top. The Smartcap can hold up to 770lbs of extra gear.

Does it not have a rail option?

Id like to have rails for some extra storage. Nothing too heavy.

smart cap does. The ARE overland vs ARE cx revo is limited. You have numerous options with the smart cap. https://www.na.rsismartcap.com/components

Found this on google for the ARE CX Revo. No confirmation on how much you can load on the roof rack.

Yes, the A.R.E. CX Revo truck cap can be equipped with a roof rack. The CX Revo is compatible with various roof rack systems, including those from Rhino-Rack and Yakima, allowing for increased versatility and the ability to carry additional cargo.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Compatibility:
The CX Revo is designed to work with specific roof rack systems. For example, Rhino-Rack offers roof rack options for the CX Revo, and Yakima also provides accessories for this truck cap.

  • Increased Versatility:
Adding a roof rack to the CX Revo enhances its functionality, allowing users to transport items like kayaks, bicycles, or camping gear.

  • Load Capacity:
While the CX Revo itself is reinforced for carrying capacity, it's important to consider the specific weight limits of the roof rack system and the truck's bed rails.

  • Customization:
You can customize the CX Revo with various accessories, including roof racks, to meet your specific needs.

I have no experience with the fiberglass shells. We always go smartcap on our builds. The build quality and fit and finish is great. Also people always change setups down the road so having the ability to add/carry weight is always a plus. They just look slick!
