Does anyone run a catch can on your 5.0? Curious on how necessary it is for the coyote.

First thing I put on mine. I don’t think it’s “necessary” but think it’s great if you want to keep junk out of your intake

I have the J&L one on my 5.0. Added it around 1K miles.

It's not as necessary on the 5.0 as it is on the 3.5EB. Some people have found considerable amounts of oil in their inner-cooler (not as common) but it's a real issue.

We have port+direct injection which cleans the tops of your intake valves. By adding a catch can you're keeping oil out of the intake-runners and ports completely, which overtime can help the engine breath and keep the top-end clean.

It can't hurt.

I have the UPR setup on my 5.0 but also supercharged.

I have a K&N on mine. I had a J&L on my previous F150, both 5.0L. They all do basically the same thing so I bought the cheaper one at the time.
