I think i may have found the first sacrifices in the interior from the chip shortage.
1. no digital readout on the dual climate control knobs
2. ambient lighting has been dumbed down. specifically in the cupholders there is no lighting.

Is there any way to add these in at a later date?

Lots and lots of discussion about this in another long thread. May try to search for it.. I will see if I can find it.

I looked and didn't see anything

The digital readout on the climate dials is cool but not necessary imop, losing the ambient lighting does suck though the truck can be quite dark inside at night. I plan on adding under seat/dash and cupholder lighting myself. If you plan on keeping your truck for 5-10 years its totally worth it, but really annoying we have to do it ourselves.

Agree - it's a bummer that things seem to be taken away, but as far as the climate control knobs, I'm not bothered by this. I just traded in a 2021 F350 dually that I no longer needed for the Tremor. It had the digital readout on the knobs, but they were also on the SYNC display. Personally, I think it's a safety issue to have them on the knobs. I can speak from experience that it only takes a split second of your eyes being off the road to be involved in an accident. Have the readout on the SYNC display keeps the road in your vision. And as far as the ambient lighting is concerned, we also have a 2012 Ford Escape with a push button to turn the lights on in the cup holder and under the front dash. I have never turned them on and personally find them to be annoying. Does it make you feel like you have a luxury vehicle - sure - but the dark interior is nice at night. I turn down the lightening on the dash and display as low as I can.
