I’ve felt/heard this transmission clunk issue ever since I first bought the truck in February. It’s intermittent, happens mostly at lower speeds during stop n go traffic.

I’ve been looking at the gear shift display ( see pic) and noticed it happens from 2-3rd shift and or 2nd to 1st.

Do any of you experience this on a daily basis.

Are you tuned? I'm not yet. On downshifts I feel it at times, just depends. Light on the brakes is when it seems to happen.

I mainly experience it between 6-5-4-3, gears intermittently with light braking, I don't recall 3 to 2,. I'm not tuned, I see it skips from 3 to 1 downshifting if coming to a stop.

No, that's another one of the reasons I'm not tuned is because I want to get this fixed first. I am sure I have also experienced the 6,5,4,3 you experienced as well. Hopefully Ill find some time tomorrow to take by the dealership drive to have a conversation.

I've got 2000 miles on mine and do notice inconsistent clunk on the 3-2 shift sometimes. Taking to dealer this week for an early oil change and going to ask them about it.

Mine rarely ever shifts into 2nd. Usually goes from 1st to 3rd, and from 3rd to 1st.

Same here, shifts with a clunky schedule around 3:2:1 when coming to a stop. Did this right off the dealer floor but I knew ahead of time that this was going to have to be reprogrammed at first oil change. Waiting for another few thousand miles.

It’s a common occurrence on these transmissions. I had it on my 2017 Raptor as well as my 2021 tremor

This is my second vehicle with the 10R80. It’s a great transmission IMO, but very quirky. It try’s to act like the old 6 speed under light throttle, skipping gears and light shifts. Under heavy acceleration from a slower speed it may get all the gears with some weird torque converter locking and unlocking going on. Under a slightly moderate load at slower speed, for me that’s like pulling out on the road from my drive way with no one coming. It acts like it wants to make the 3-2 shift, but can’t decide and goes to 1 then says nope, maybe 2, nope back to 3 and clunks. Same thing will happen when on the freeway and not under heavy load and you don’t hammer down. But still want to accelerate to change lanes or something. Drops from 10 to 5 and decides on 6 and clunks, sometime super loud. I had my Expy reflashed and started the learning process over. I think it helped more, because I new how to drive it a little different. And I also got use to some of the quirks. When I’m in heavy traffic I always go to ”Sport” and then not let it go into 4x4. Seems to help the weird last minute shifts i try and make it do. I have not had my Tremor reflashed but it does the same think if I don’t give it some beans and try to limp foot it.

I had heard Ford updated the thransmission ECU for the 2022 model year. Anyone with a 2022 have feedback?

I have not experienced these issues. Mine is a '22.

May 25— 2022 build can feel slight what you are talking about not 600 miles transmission still figuring me out I bet.

Mines a 22 I haven’t felt anything, mine is tuned and sometimes when I get on it I feel like it’s hard shifting (maybe a clunkish feel) dropping gears like a 6sp manual. Going from 6 to 3 on the hwy! I like it cause I feel like it’s doing what it’s suppose to and not a Pansy auto Tran! But not sure if that’s what your talking about. My old truck (2019 2.7 F150) when I would first shift gears it would hang up on 2-3 but only happen the first time I would drive that time, then smooth out the rest of the drive. If that makes since.

Ok, curious what they will have to say.
Didn't get too much detail when I took it in. They said it's still "learning" and part of the 10 speed. Recommend bring it back at 5k if I'm still feeling it. Now that I'm watching it seeing 3-1 shifts more frequently.

Hello, any update on this..? I get the clunk sound every once in a while when I'm slowing down to a stop and the transmission is going from 3-2.

I've experienced this since day 1, '22, not tuned, up and down in lower gears. This is my first of these 10sp's, and 9mo in, still not a fan.

Gotcha ok, probably no fix either. Guess I'll just keep the music loud lol.
