Combo tonneau cover & rails recommendation

Just traded-in my 2015 XLT FX4 for a 2023 Tremor 5.0 and I AM LOVING IT.
My goal here is to install the rack only when I need to use my roof top tent and the ability to open the cover when the tent rack is on.
I had on my 2015 a Thule Rack and rails (the ones you have to install in the side rail stake pocket) and a Bakflip G2 cover. Wondering if anyone has a better recommendation.

I have been trying to find rails that will work with bak revolver x4 and so far I have only found one from voodoo fabrication (they say they will work). I like the bak cover so far.

Check out the RetraxXR tonneau cover. You can add Yakima or Rhino Racks.

The tuxedo elevate rails are supposed to work with th BAK revolver X4 and a few other covers

Reviving this old thread, seems BAK is making X4 compatible T-rails very soon.

I have the BAK Revolver, Elevate Rails T-slot rails and Elevate rack on my truck and have been pretty happy with them. I use the rack mainly to carry my rooftop tent and kayak in the summer. Seems pretty rock solid. I really like the rail system to adjust the towers fore and aft for the tent, to carry bikes or put a ski rack on. One plus to the Elevate rack is that the towers raise straight vertically up and down, rather than an angle like the Thule Overhaul which are at an angle and require you to readjust the cross bar also. But unlike the Overhaul the Elevate rack has only 2 height settings--unless you drill additional holes.

I bought the setup about a year ago. Definitely email a few places and get a direct price quote. Every place I inquired gave me a price under what they had listed on their webpage. Funny, I asked BAK about whether they were planning a Revolver cover with T-slots at the time I bought my setup (they had a Gladiator version out at the time) and they said no. Not sure if I would have waited a year to get the integrated rails in the cover, but seems like they should have done that a long time ago.

Interesting, BAK gave me same info that they were not going to make t-slot rails. I went with the revolver X4 and elevate rails. I haven’t added the towers. The only downside I have is the system is not as weather resistant as it was before I added the rails.

True. The rails clamp between the bedside and the cover which adds 1/16” or so more space at the tailgate.

I got the Retrax XR Pro.
Fitted it with the Yakima cross bars and mounted a Thule basket to it.

I tell everyone that it's to strap my mother in laws rocking chair in.
