Earlier this year we were stationed out in Vegas and decided that we were going to sell our RV. Upon doing that I didn’t need my F250 diesel Tremor and they were offering me stupid money for it so I traded it for a Jeep Gladiator loaded to the gills with lift, tires, bumpers, winch, etc. I thought being out in Vegas it would be fun to go out and do all the off roading.

Long story short, I had so many issues with the dealer after buying (they messed up pay off, rebates, terms, didn’t submit registration and it sat for a month because they couldn’t issue a second set of ten tags) that it just ruined any enjoyment I had of it. Not to mention I’m getting 9mpg and gas in Vegas is almost $4 a gallon. So needless to say, I very much regret getting rid of my Tremor. Plus I miss the power, room and comfort that the Jeep, as nice as it looks, just doesn’t have.

So here I am looking to get back into an F150 version since I don’t need the diesel 250. I’ve found quite a few within a few hours but all of the dealers are doing the whole $5-10k over msrp and I just refuse. But I was told if I custom order that won’t happen.

So I guess a few things:

1-anyone know any good dealers in NV, AZ, UT, CA, or even ID? I don’t mind driving some for a good dealer who isn’t going to market adjust me or try to do all of the stupid add ons they try to do here locally

2-how do you guys feel about the Unleashed BO system?

3-is the on board power generator worth it? Nothing really to haul anymore and at most we would be camping

4-seen some debate about the tow package. Most I should be hauling is a UHaul when the mil moves us again, so those are only rated to about 5k lbs. Do you get anything additional other than added capacity?

Thanks

1 - sent you a PM
2- I am luke-warm on the system. Highs, mids, surround, overall sound quality, all there, but the bass is lacking and the "sub" is really just a rattle box that lets you know where all the other rattles in the cab are, mainly the sliding rear window.
3- Had it on my initial order, but after four months of waiting and getting rolled to a 2022, I cancelled the order and purchased a dealer unit which does not have it. Looking back, worked out just fine. Purchased a 3kw generator for considerably less than the 2kw option, it weighs significantly less, and I can keep it in the trailer, preserving precious payload capacity.
4- Still so many threads and opinions on this. Dealers can't even explain what it adds. Ford charts seem to show ALL tremors have 10,900 rating. HOWEVER there are plenty of asterisks out there that say without 53A trailer tow pkg, max tow is 7k.

1 - There are dealerships like Granger and Chapman that will give you a great discount if you place an order to have the truck built. I tried looking for a truck already built here in Texas and several nearby states. Almost everything on the lots were around $70k and I just don't have that kind of budget nor did I need all of the extras. I'm impatient but decided to order with Granger and getting a 401a with some nice options for around $57k.

2 - I'm hearing a lot of mixed reviews and basically it's going to just depend on your taste. I'm not getting either B&O systems. I basically decided to save the money and put it towards some aftermarket speakers to get exactly what I want.

3 - I was going back and forth on this as well. I decided to go ahead and get it since I was able to get a great price on the truck by ordering it. I figure it might be a good backup if nothing else. Plus it could come in handy when camping.

4 - Get the tow package. Period.
