Coolant leak

Happy Holidays Forum members:
21’ Tremor was dropped off at Ford yesterday due to a coolant leak found X-mas morning. Worst part, they are so backed up that it may take 2-3 weeks just to diagnose. Searched forum before posting but did not see anything related but curious if those here on Forum have experienced any coolant leaks? How many miles did you have and what was the root cause?

Can't speak to the f150 but my old commuter Passat would leak coolant and run down my garage floor. Took it in under warranty and it was the water pump seal.

As far as coolant leaks go, those that you can see drips on the floor are better than when your coolant is disappearing and you can't see where. (At least initially )

In general, after checking the hoses and their connections, thermostats and water pumps are good places to start.
