Does anyone have any experience with these? https://www.autoanything.com/hitch-bed-accessories/69A3214A0A0.aspx

I love my ford trucks but the tie downs toward the cab always drive me crazy when I'm carrying long lumber. They are up too high and too close to the cab to do any good strapping down the ends of 2x lumber.

I'm looking at getting some of these but I'm a little worried about connecting to the bed. It looks like they want you to through bolt them and I guess that would work.

Just wondering if anyone has used them and could share their experience.

One can never have too many anchor points!

I’ve been looking at something very similar for a while. I’ve used them in the aviation industry and they are great. You would have to drill and bolt though. You can find black anodized ones as well if your worried about the color.

Man, I totally get that @ChsTremor - I've always thought the same thing with my '15 F-150. Depending on how much versatility / adjustability you think you need, a cheaper and less obtrusive or invasive solution would be to buy additional cleats or footman loops and through bolt them to the bed ahead of the wheel well - perhaps backed by a reinforcing plate or something. But, if you need the adjustability of a track system, both above options look good.

I had them on my Rebel at the cab end of the bed and on my decked. They were absolutely fantastic. The only reason I don't have them on mountain yak is because it's an aluminum bed and I can't get my fingers/backer bar in with my paws

I recently had some experience using rivnuts to mount a subwoofer box in my wife’s bronco. They seem like they could be a pretty good solution if a reasonable combination of rivnut quantity, size and commons since when tying things down is used.

Yeah, rivnuts work well. My concern comes from my ignorance of how the aluminum bed would react to all the torque without some sort of backing plate to sandwich the bed between.

I think with a longer piece, ie : all the way across the bed bulkhead, the multiple rivnuts would be spread out the load enough to be pretty dang strong. I still think this would be a better and stronger solution than the bar offered by Builtright.

Yeah, I saw that. If it were recessed and not in the way, I would have gone that way, *already.

Now that I look at it again, it would solve a mounting issue for the half-bed drawer, I'm building.

Well, there goes another $250. Dammit man.

Agreed. I think with some common sense these could be really useful. I'd probably still use the factory tiedowns to secure something heavy like a motorcycle but I'll be these would be handy for other smaller items.

Ok - I'm officially adding these and a rivet nut tool to my Christmas list. I'm even contemplating mounting these on the bed rails to be able to tie down items on top of the BAK fibermax bed cover. I'll report back on how it all works out.

Hey all, I don’t post on here much since I haven’t purchased a tremor, but I wanted to give you all another option.
I have these in my truck,

they are from a Transit cargo van, and they fit with no modifications. The OEM bed bolt fits through the hole and the ring folds up and down easily.

I have a 2018 F150 Police Responder with a Raptor swap, and I know the size of the 2022+ bed bolts are identical to the 13th Gen trucks.

I found a set of 6 for $40 on eBay.

Thanks @CrankCase , that looks like a great option and would even compliment the Trax tie down system.

I did end up getting a pair of the 48" Trax bars for Christmas and Santa also knew to get me a Rivetnut tool! Now I just have to wait a few days for the aluminum rivetnuts to come from the Amazon fairy before I can install. If these work out good I may end up putting a few of the 24" trax on the bed rails to be able to tie down lighter weigh items on top of the tri-fold bed cover.

Looking forward to seeing this! Just don’t drill through the gas tank!

How close is it to the bed? If I only go through 3/4” I would think it should be fine right?

I’m not sure exactly, I just know it when I was running the harnes for my reverse lights it looked close enough for me to think I should be careful if/when I install tracks. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of room for rivnuts though.

UPDATE June 2023: I DON'T RECOMMEND ALUMINUM RIVETNUTS AND SCREWS.
Mine ended up coming loose. The rivetnuts are not strong enough to clamp against the bed without spinning. If you install them tighter then they break. I just ended up drilling out all of the screws and removing the system.

I ended up cutting the tracks in half to get tie down spots up to the cab and back at the tailgate.
I used alumninim rivetnuts (1/4-20) and will be buying aluminum screws to replace the steel ones that came with the kit.

Not sure what the rating will be using rivetnuts but it should be good enough to secure lighter loads (cooler, tool boxes, gas cans, etc).

One thing to note on the aluminum rivetnuts is to not run it up on the mandrel all the way. I did on my first one and it broke the rivetnut. Luckily I could still access from underneath and hold on to the broken piece with some pliers while the wife unscrewed the other end. See picture of how I ended up setting up the tool.

There does appear to be room to actually through bolts in some locations but I went the easy route for now. We will see how it holds up.

Nice job! That looks awesome!

As a long time Nissan Frontier owner, I am going to attempt to add some of the nissan bed track system to my Tremor when it finally comes in. I cannot imagine not having them at this point.

Finally got to utilize these for what I originally had the idea for. Tie down the ends of long 2x material
