2022 Ford F-150 Tremor
I’ve lurked here for quite a while and made a few comments here and there. I appreciate all the great info sharing and ideas you all have. After doing quite a bit of research, a lot of which was on this forum, I placed an order for a ‘22 F150 Tremor with 402a, Torsen diff, Unleashed sound system, on 3/15. I wasn’t getting my hopes up too much after reading about all the holds and delays etc. I finally got an email with the build date for the week of June 13, the window sticker had a blend date of 6/19. I tried to wait patiently but got no updates and the tracker didn’t change. I emailed the dealer to inquire on any been no news and told me that it would likely be built as far as it could and put on a lot to wait on chips.

Well, I called the Ford customer care and marketing number this afternoon and, lo and behold, the truck is built and scheduled to arrive to the dealer on or about 8/4. I asked her to verify, that it is 100% built and not waiting for any chips etc. she assured my that it was 100% complete.

With all the misinformation and delays and uncertainty that so many have experienced, I just want to make sure there aren’t any surprises or delays I should be on the lookout for. Anyone with any news good or bad about what I’ve been told? Is it safe to assume that what I was told is accurate? Not wanting to get too excited but it does feel as though there’s significant progress. Additionally, was given a private cash offer certificate number that was just mailed to me as well. I’m never this fortunate. I can’t even win a scratch off game normally. Would love some feedback. Thanks.

8/4? Mine was supposed to be built today. You’re not giving me the warm fuzzies if I’ve got another 6 weeks to wait

I hear ya, but the way I figure it, it’s probably a logistical challenge to ship rail particularly in today’s environment, so I am pretty happy that it’s not sitting in a converted cornfield with 1000’s of other trucks waiting on chips. So, I’ll take it. I told myself when I ordered it not to expect anything until August. I just hope it holds true. Also, that date could be a bit generous- as in under promise and over deliver. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

6 weeks seems about right. Mine was built 4/28 and didn’t get to the dealership until 6/1. It was shipped rail to the East coast but the final truck delivery to the dealership took the longest.

Ask your dealer for a VVR (vehicle visibility report). The VVR will show where it is at, production, holding lot, rail lot or if it's on a train the car number and last major yard, switch, etc. Mine was loaded on a Friday and made it to the final rail yard in San Antonio, TX 9 days later.
