Stoked to have found this forum, enjoyed reading the last few weeks.
Curious how compromising folks have been on options to get their Tremor.
I’ve given up on ‘22 Tundras due to Toyota’s inability to accept any custom orders and zero inventory. That’s when I got serious about Fords and discovered the Tremor. Sadly, I just missed the ‘22 Tremor custom order window. Dealerships in Northern California with what little available inventory there is has been marked up $5k-$20k (good luck!!!), but found a dealership honoring MSRP. There are a few deal breaking options I’m looking for in a Tremor:
-lighter body color
-402a
-pano moon roof
-bed step
-18 speakers
Very nice to haves:
- Torsen front dif
- interior work station
- locking rear bench storage
I’m not desperate for wheels, and feel it’s ok to simply wait out until a solid dealer order or a ‘23 custom order is delivered. But it seems like custom order delays are dragging on and options are dropping. Dealer called tonight and have available truck, no pano or bed step, no Torsen or work station. I passed on the truck. For ~$70k, it seems I should get the exact truck I want, as I plan to own it for 10+ years.
Are most folks jumping at what they can get or holding out for what they really want? Any buyers remorse for foregoing options? Or giving up on their order ever being delivered?
