All,

I'm at a loss for words, looking for advice. I ordered my Tremor at the dealer on 12/21/21, and received the Ford order confirmation on 12/31/2021 - no issues there. Since ordering, last week I emailed my Sales Rep to swap out the drop in bed liner and add the Torsen. This entire time prior to me ordering I was told that I can make as many order adjustments as I wanted up until the Build date was received. After contacting my salesman for the change he stated he was going to give it to his manager and they would email me the order to sign and return to them. Since that time, I didn't get anything from my salesman, I've been waiting for them to send me the new order for me to sign. It literally should have been a price increase of $150, drop the drop in bed liner at $350 & add the front Torsen at $500...seems like it should have been pretty easy.... t

That leads me to today's PCO post. I received the PCO for $3,000. I assumed I could have used that on my order from 12/21/2021.

I went into the dealer with the expectation of making my changes to bed liner vs. Torsen & for them to apply the $3,000 PCO. The dealer advised me today that if my vehicle didn't arrive by the expiration date of the PCO (4/4/2022) they can't price lock the PCO and therefore I wouldn't be able to use it - so it's literally rolling the dice. I told my salesperson that you absolutely told me I could apply the PCO to the order if I received one...there was never any talk about taking delivery prior to the expiration date. I expressed my frustration that I can't control when the vehicle gets delivered. I'm also now being told that the way I ordered the truck is the way that I have to accept it, that I can't make any changes (mind you there is no build date). Once again, I stated that you always told me I can make changes up until I get a build date. I totally understand that after the build date you can't edit the order. This makes no sense why they are telling me I can't edit my order. I went ahead and ordered on 12/21/2021 just to get it in the system, with the expectation in a short manner of time I was goign to edit it - which i did, or tried to do. So now....... the dealership is telling me that if I want to use the PCO with a price lock, essentially no expiration date, I would need to re order a new truck...but there's a catch - it's $1250 MORE than what I already signed paperwork for. I asked where the change comes and all I'm told is that the prices went up in 2022. I ordered a 2022, so I'm not tracking where the prices went up. Even though I ordered in Calendar Year 2021, is there really a price increase in 2022 (I know the add on's went up, I already knew that when I ordered IE Bed Utility vs Power Tailgate $995 vs. 695 CO PILOT ACTIVE 2.0 $1595 vs $1995 in 2022)...this makes no sense to me....

It seems like my best bet is to re order a truck @ the $1,250 increase, essentially making the PCO $1,750 and being able to add on the Front Torsen. It would push everything back by about a month, which is fine b/c I am trading in my 2021 Trailboss, so I'm in no hurry. I just think it's BS they won't price lock the $3K PCO on my prior order, and can only add it on to a new order? If I cancel my prior order, not sure if it's actually cancelled, or the dealer will get the truck and just sell it on the lot....which I'm sure they won't mind b/c I ordered mine on X Plan so they will be making money (and yes, the PCO can be used on X PLAN). If I re ordered, it would be cheaper that what I initally signed ( if they won't apply the $3000 to the prior order)

Just confused, and sorry for writing an entire book, just looking for y'alls thoughts on this.

TIA

2022 went up vs 2021, but if you ordered a 22 that price should be honored. BUT, the prices did go up on Tremors $880 on 12/27/21. I also ordered 12/21/21 and when I called Granger to make a change, Chip advised me that I would be subjected to the new increased price if I made changes (this was after 12/27). I opted to keep my order the same to keep that low locked in price.

As far as the PCO, I have heard many times you have to take delivery by the expiration date. I bet the only way to use it would be to do all the paperwork prior to that expiring.

I'm in same boat. At the time of my order, I did NOT get the Torsen and I got the drop in bed liner. I no longer want the drop in bedliner and want the Torsen. I thought it was easy as just doing the change for $150. Nope....my dealer says if I want to do the change I need to pay $1250 more! I can account for $880 & $150 for a total of $1030, so not sure where the difference of $220 is coming from. And to top it off, I'm trying to apply a $3k PCO to my order that I placed on 12/21/2021 and the dealer won't price lock it. So the only way to have it price locked is to re order to 1- get the order the way I want and 2- lock in my $3k. Given there is a price jump of $1250, it essentially makes the PCO $1750, which is still free money, so I will be re ordering. Looks like it's going to push it back a month, but is what it is. I actually asked the dealership to come up on my trade by $1250 to offset the jump, and they are going to get back to me on that. I did ask for a "free" spray in bedliner done at the dealership so waiting to see if they'd at least to that instead of coming up on my trade so we'll see. Obviously coming up on the trade is way better than $500 bed liner, but end of the day I'm saving $1750 on my re order. I don't think the dealer will budge though very much b/c I am ordering on X Plan.

My PCO says in fine print at the bottom to order or take delivery of dealer stock by expiration date.

My dealer is skeptical on applying if expired at delivery.

We shall see what happens.

I'm in same boat. I ordered on 12/21/21. My dealer told me to pricelock the PCO I need to re order, which I am going to do. Only problem is that there's a price increase now of the trucks by $880, so we'd have to pay that too. Since I only ordered a month ago, that's why I'm going to opt to just re order to price lock the PCO. How far along are you?

I ordered 12/16 and received email confirmation on 12/20. Heard nothing since on progress. Mine expired 1/4. Dealer said to call ford marketing to extend. Ford marketing said dealer should handle. I’m preparing myself for big fight at delivery.

Big fight about what? The PCO? Didn't you say yourself the fine print says you have to take delivery by experation?

Order or take delivery of dealer stock. I for sure ordered in time.
Mine says the same, and I'm wondering why the want me to reorder. Doesn't make sense to me.

Sure would be nice if Ford & the dealerships were ever on the same page about anything. You'd think it's a simple response...

for example it may just he "if you have a PCO, we log that as part of the order and we(the dealership) are guaranteed the money from Ford" ... "If it's not applied to the original order, we don't have a way to apply it and secure that money if delivery is after the expiration and we (the dealership) aren't gonna eat any of that cost"

Idk but I feel for y'all, it seems like folks get the run around non stop.. *see tow capacity threads 1-40*

I'm back with an update everyone....so I finally got a straight answer from the dealership!! 1- They will apply my $3K PCO to my prior order, but since I wanted to change it I'd be subject to the $880 Price increase of the F-150. I'm opting to change / add my Torsen for $500, drop the bed liner at $350, so the increase is $1030. With the PCO, I'm still saving $. I'm also buying on X Plan. My MSRP is now $72,910 and X Plan is $67,907 which is 6.9% savings. Finally some clarification. Since I opted re order w/ the change, I saved ~$2k instead of the full $3k, pushed the order back by a month (prior order date was 12.21.2021).

Sounds like you are still ahead and made some great changes! Good for you. Congrats!

I never would have purchased if I didn’t get X Plan. I’m trading in a 21 Trailboss for $55k. So I’m saving money (couple G’s) on NYS Taxes. My payoff is about $32k so I’ll be rolling off the lot with a loan for $40-$42k about $30k in Equity. Seems too good to be true to be honest lol.

XPlan is good but wouldn’t it have been worth a trip to Chapman instead?

Call Ford Marketing. Ask for a Brochure that’s what I did. I got a PCO for $3k.

Has anyone gotten one after already having an order placed?
