Not PC, but an accurate description of what's going on with dealer pricing. Post the most ridiculous dealer markup in your local area. Winner gets a handshake.

Mine is from 2 days ago at Encinitas Ford near San Diego. Driving by, I saw a white Tremor like the one I have on order and thought that maybe they would sell it for a reasonable number. I could not have been more wrong. $20K markup on a Tremor and $40K markup on a Raptor. I hope these people burn in hell.

“only” 5k near me but same. Wouldn’t do msrp. I’ll wait for my order under invoice and save 10k

That's some BS but, some will pay anything - look at the ridiculous crap on the lightning.

Jeez, I got my Tremor for $2,500 over MSRP from a dealer in Idaho. I also had a Raptor on order in Salt Lake at $5k over MSRP which I eventually cancelled.

Should of kept the order and sold it at a $15K mark up. All these lots in SLC are asking $120K or so for a Raptor.

Hate to say it, but if someone offered me $25k over sticker on my truck, I'd have to think hard about that one. If it ever gets here, that is.

Dealers around here are doing $15k over on Raptors. $3k on xlt's. Not as bad as yours but still BS.

I'll have a 402a at sticker in 3 weeks is someone is so inclined.

Posted this earlier on another thread. Should have took a pic. Came across Oxford White Tremor on lot. I was surprised they had one available. I think MSRP was 72k. I glanced. They had 20k markup + some other things. Final asking was 98k.. That is probably why they still had it. 5k over MSRP isn't bad for a Raptor? I am not sure what people are paying for the Raptors on the mainland compared to here in Hawaii but Raptors are like 30k plus over MSRP and possibly more now.

I have a dream that Ford wakes up and takes care of their loyal customers. Sell no more than MSRP. Able to just build what you want. Turn into dealer or Ford directly. Pick up vehicle after maybe 3 months. If BMW / MINI can take your order, and deliver your vehicle in about 3 months all the way to Hawaii from Europe. Ford shouldn't have a problem. Then again that was back in 2008.
Test drive optional. Just a no hassle buying experience. Is that Tesla sales model? Maybe FORD should go direct sales? There is a company here in Hawaii that owns all the Toyota dealerships. They are not part of Toyota USA. There is a rumor that this family that owns it had a good relationship with the Toyota family back in the day so they got the Toyota rights for Hawaii. I think they get a cheaper wholesale price too but they do sell everything at MSRP. They have sales sometimes but they hold firm at MSRP. They own a Chevy / Lexus dealership also. Same thing at MSRP. I was able to order a Silverado ZR2 at MSRP if I wanted. The Tacoma is the best selling vehicle here in Hawaii. They are always on top for sales in Hawaii. I think a lot has to do with their sales model more than the product. Only downfall I could think of is there are a lot of Toyotas on island. Seems like everybody has a Tacoma or Tundra when it comes to trucks. Makes the Tremor all that more special. I was looking into the new Tundra TRD Pro last year. Able to get at MSRP no problem but they only bring in like 5 a year and they have a waitlist of 18 people when I checked. So 3+ years before you get one down here? Crazy.

Most in NW indiana or Illinois are at least $10K over MSRP, even advertised that way on their websites. Ford needs to stop this ( if they really cared ) I found 1 that will honor A/Z if they get any in before year-end.

Some one said they worked for Ford, And they had the A plan and went to five different dealers before he found one to honor it.

I just got an Explorer ST, local dealer on A-plan. They unfortunately didn't have any Tremors, when the time comes I will be trading in my 2014 F150 for it. I doubt my lightning reservation will ever turn into an order. Every dealer I seen with a tremor isn't honoring A/Z ( all have been $10K+ over MSRP ). Yesterday I found one 250 miles away would honer A/Z, only if I traded in my F150 for $10K less than what it was worth, HAHA, I had to tell them to pound sand.

Not to bad of a deal if anyone is in the market for one, no torsen though.
For me personally a big thing on the Tremor was getting some of the raptor features without the premium. Getting one without torsen or the raptor transfer case to me is just like get a platinum or a lariat instead.

just hold on. They will be $5000 under sticker in the next 6-12 months

It has the raptor transfer case and to boot it's leadfoot gray!

$15k over for Raptors here in southwest Ohio. Dealer told me they sell most of them to people in Texas. Same with the Shelby's.....they sold three in a week...all to Texas, they were $130k

Texas, where what you save on housing goes to your raptor. And then your truck costs what your house costs. Murica.

Same story here, in Temecula Ca, about 60 miles north of San Diego. I think the floor on a raptor is $25k over, my salesman said they keep some listed at $40-50k over that way when the dude buying it negotiates it down to $30-35k, he feels like he got a real good “deal” lol. If I could get one for $5-$10k over like some of you I probably would have just done it, pretty sad to say the least!

Standard F150 XLTs/Lariats FX4s are $5-7k over. They haven’t had any tremors on the lot for awhile, or any Platinums/limiteds. I think the strategy is to order the lower priced trucks, then add the markup, instead of adding a high markup to an already expensive truck… probably easier to get financing and a deal done.

I think the only reason they are honoring MSRP for my order is because I bought a Mach E from them a bit earlier in the year. Was able to get that at MSRP too. Seems like if you go with the order route, they don’t mess with you, but if you walk onto the lot hoping to drive away with something from their allocation, they stick it to you… I hope Ford does something real about it the coming years, would love to buy a new Bronco, or even a 24’ Dark Horse, but man they make it more difficult than it needs to be…

^ it is sad how dealers get away with it, of course there are a lot of people with more money than brains that actually pay it too. Local jeep dealers is doing similar things on all their Jeeps. $5K+ and there marketing is every new car/truck comes with paint/seat protection. HAHA. and all their used cars have $1500 added for detailing. non-negotiable. What a joke. Another NW-Indiana ford dealer, horrible and thieves charging $5K-$25K+ on all new vehicles on their lot. True about ordering, got my wife an ST Explorer- ordered it and got employee pricing A/Z and $2500 in rebates and they gave me a fair deal on my trade in. There are still some good dealers, just not many. Over the weekend I reached out to several ford dealers with Tremors and all wanted $10K ( advertised over MSRP ) I found one that would have gave me the deal was a cancelled customer order, every option except the 2 I really wanted ( Work station, and front Torsen ) I should have just grabbed it.
