I finally pulled the trigger on the decked drawer system. So far I'm impressed. I'm a home inspector with a ton of tools, cases, gear and ladders. They would get tangled up in the bed and I got tired of popping the tonneau, and climb up in to get something from the front. Now it's all accessible from the tailgate. I can't wait to try it on the next job.

The downsides- I can't throw bikes in the bed over the tailgate. No more putting the ARB fridge in the bed for road trips. And suitcases are a no go for trips. But I do those things once in a blue moon while I'm using my tools and ladders on a daily basis.

Looking good! I would’ve gone with Decked if I got a cap, seems to be the common theme- but if those ladders fit nicely under your existing cover that’s a sweet setup.

Yup, the ladders fit with a hair of an air gap. I might get a cap someday, but for now this seems to work just fine.

I just pulled the trigger on the Decked system as well. Absolutely love it, and I have a topper which makes a big difference. Great addition 👍

A cap looks like the way to go with the drawer system. I've never had one. I turn 50 next year, maybe I'll be "old enough" to rock a cap then?

We all need to email the guys at decked (I did) and ask for a lighter version. Empty, these drawers weight 250#, fill up the drawers and depending on that weight, you will be squatting. Most of us won't be putting 2000# on the top :). The overland crowd sell would be huge.

After assembling it, I wouldn't want it any lighter as it's all plastic. The gen 1's had lots of problems with cracking when folks tightened the turnbuckles too much. I'm not carrying much weight in the drawers, just bulky cases. But I love I can let the drawer slam home and not worry about it. If it sags, time for air bags.

ya, I run airbags. can't say I'm a fan of the ride when deployed. I'm all about keeping things light as I travel long distances and off-road.

That’s exactly what I’m looking to do. What topper do you have? It looks great.

Mine is a paint to match Leer with the carpet interior. Love it. I also permanently mounted it with four bolts in the corners.

Does the Decked mat just lay down on the top or is there an adhesive used to secure?
It's adhesive. SeaDeck makes the mat. But you can also buy sheets of it or knockoff sheets on Amazon and cut it to size
