While learning the features for the first 200 miles I drove around in tow haul mode being unimpressed with acceleration, not knowing it was in that mode. Eventually finding sport mode I was relived and impressed. It doesn’t like to shift into 2wd from 4wd for me. I had to shut off engine and restart to move from 4 wheel to 2.

Afaik, only Normal and Eco let you drive in 2H. The rest of them require at least 4A.

In those two modes, mine switch fine - might want to get that checked if Eco and Normal don't switch without restarting the truck.

Will only let you go into and out of 4H and 4L in neutral.

If I switch to sport mode either moving or stopped it will shift into 4A. I can then push the 2A mode button and it shifts back to 2wd and stays in sport mode. I can do that moving or stopped with no problem.

Don’t have my truck yet, but am coming from a 2015 F150 4x4 and I’ve always been impressed with how noticeable and ‘aggressive’ the sport mode is - holding gears at high RPM for throttle response, downshifting early, etc. Is Sport mode in the new trucks as noticeable and effective?

Yes, mine is a totally diff truck in sport mode. 👍

Agreed, love the sport mode. Hate the gas mileage in sport mode 😭

Totally different feel but i wish the button was on the shifter like my '15 lariat! It did not automatically switch into 4wd and was so easy to toggle- i guess an extra step and 8 extra inches is not that big a deal.....

Same here.

Also, if you guys like the sport mode feel but not how it holds the gears, get a Sprint Booster or Pedal Commander.

I too just found that out. Do you know if there is a way to get 2H in Sport mode? or do you just have to hit the 2H button everytime you want it there? I figured there should be a way to set it up that way.

Unless the there's a way to program it through Forscan you have to hit 2H while in sport mode, but honestly unless you just want to burn through tires 4a is the best mode for sport.

You can go from 2H to 4H in drive, I did it yesterday when I got stuck in the mud at the Halloween Festival. :ROFLMAO:

4L you do need to be N though.

Thought about checking Forscan ( few things wanted to change ).
Someone mentioned to me wasn't good to always leave in 4A? Has anyone had trouble with that. Really isn't that difficult to hit the 2H button ( when I say it outloud, how lazy am I ) haha, For work, I get in an out of my truck 7-20 times a day. Soon as I get it tuned, I can probably just leave it in normal anyway too.

Shouldn't have any issues keeping the truck in 4A, its a pretty slick way to get true AWD. Your gas mileage will suffer slightly as result but thats the case with any AWD vehicle.

A buddy has had his truck in 4a for around 3 years and has not had any negative effects yet from it.

Very Noticeable, I came from a 21 Limited 3.5 HO and my Tremor impressed the heck out of me.

I will 2nd this. Coming from 2014 3.5 Ecoboost F150. There have been a ton of improvements. I still may tune it. But Sport mode is noticeably better. The police officer that pulled me over yesterday can vouch for me the way I took off before he caught up HAHA..
