Drive modes

I usually drive around in eco. When I get back in it the next day it is in normal mode. Is there a way to default it to eco?

It should ask you if you want to stay in eco mode at startup — think you have around 10 seconds to decide and then it defaults to normal. Incidentally, I really didn’t find any advantage in using eco. I think it just makes the gas pedal less responsive.

I did comparative tests in my 2018 where 1 week I'd be in eco and check the mileage and the next week in sport. I found my mileage on the highway in eco was worse. Subjective of course, I will throw it into eco if I'm in crazy stop and go traffic.

I have ~1800 miles on my truck, purchased in August. I have run eco for ~90% of the mileage on country highway — this is ~98% of my driving - and averaged 14.5 MPG. I have switched to normal and reset the last few weeks — no difference yet.

Your still in the break in phase. I found with my other trucks, after break in my fuel economy got better. Imo.

That's a bummer
- i have almost 1500 miles on a '22 and just completed a second work trip in the mountains- from 5k feet elevation to 11k ft and back - mixed two lane and highway- and averaged 20.5 in Eco
Driving all highway back from Omaha to Denver after purchasing it, i averaged 16 in Normal

Your still in the break in phase. I found with my other trucks, after break in my fuel economy got better. Imo.

Mine definitely did. From about 12 to 18/19 for daily.
