Any recommendations for an adjustable drop hitch? I’ll be primarily pulling a popup camper that’s about 2500#s dry. It has a fairly high ground clearance and want something I can drop down when pulling a normal height trailer. Thanks!

Check out this site. Their hitches are adjustable.

I second the B&W hitch. Its the last normal hitch I'll ever need. I got the Tow and Stow. Tucks up nicely when you dont want to use it s you dont bang your shins. I have the triple ball so it supports all my trailers. Very well made.

What size? 5" for the Tremor?

Edit: guess it depends on your trailers you plan to tow.

It does depend on the trailers and your height. 5" covers most. If you're worried get the 7", it's only slightly more expensive and they are adjustable anyways.

I have the 5" right now and it seems to work for my trailers, however I bought my off a friend so I didn't have a choice. If I did, i would have gone with the 7 so I was covered either way.

I have the b&w as well just hauled my 7 x 16 from Fl to Ma worked perfectly. The adjustments made leveling out the trailer easy. I got the 5 inch drop with the tri ball stow and go.

So my buddy has a 7" B&W on his Super Duty that he wants to sell me, can anyone tell me what the height of the hitch is? I can level my lowest trailer and figure out how much drop I need if I have that measurement. I don't want it any longer than it needs to be since it'll affect departure angle.

I run a 4" Weigh Safe hitch on my Raptor. It works great even for my smallest cargo trailer. Ball sizes are easy to change out and I love knowing my actual tongue weight.

Ordered the B&W 5 Need to burn my Amazon card now This is getting out of hand thanks for recommending
Lmao I'm in the same boat. The longer my truck takes to get here, the more time I spend shopping online!

Can someone measure their hitch insert to the ground and give me that number? Want to compare it to the current Tacoma.

I'll try to get a measurement on mine with about 150lbs in the bed, sorry it's loaded for a weekend trip coming up.

Just saw this thread on the top, +1 along with u/RotorHead695 for the Weigh-Safe; 4" drop, + a larger additional ball in the space under the seat. Expensive but the tongue weight feature is surprisingly useful; I've shifted loads more than once that I thought were pretty balanced.

17 3/4" from ground to bottom of hitch with about 150lbs in the bed
